Q: Do the pumps for this dispenser not pump up??? They're really hard to use. Is this why they're on sale? I bought them because I needed new soap pumps. Sad!

A: Hi Susanna - we are so sorry to hear you are experiencing trouble with our hand wash pump. This pump uses a twist lock mechanism rather than a pop up to prevent leakage, so to unlock it, turn the pump to the right per the arrow indicator pictured on top and pump out your desired amount of soap. This used to smell great and have a pretty translucent bottle with a wood ring and a good pump. The only thing they haven't changed is the wood ring. The bottle is now opaque, it doesn't have much smell at all, and the pump doesn't work well.

I remember when I started buying these over the lockdown and the pumps never worked. It seems they fixed the pump but the scent is no longer “light and refreshing”. Now the scent almost has a weird “sweet” smell. I gave these soaps for Christmas. No one wanted the watermelon scent! Everyone wanted the mango and lemon ones.

I first started buying this in 2020. I love watermelon as a scent in general, and I loved that this didn't dry out my hands too much. Now, in 2025, I am realizing that the pump isn't the best and they must've reformulated the scent-- it now has a really strange note that smells like vomit/spoiled milk to my nose. I will use the rest of this bottle and the rest of the refill bottle I bought, but after that will try a different brand and scent.

I used Raw Sugar Watermelon Mint scent for years and loved how subtle and moisturizing it was. I recently opened a new bottle and noticed the consistency felt different, my hands felt stripped, and the scent was OVERWHELMING disgusting FLORAL perfume… the way I RAN to the reviews to see that others had the same reaction. I looked up and saw that the Raw Sugar company was acquired by private equity: vultures that buy a beloved company, cheap out on manufacturing to maximize their own profits, then sell off pieces of the company once the customers have abandoned it because the product got bad. What a shame. Time to find another brand.

Have loved this since it first came to Target 6ish years ago. Noticed since our last purchase in October they have completely changed the scent and formula. Like others have said, now smells like cheap B+B soap and not moisturizing like it once was. Time to find a new brand :(

This has been my favorite hand soap for years and all I would buy. I just started a new bottle today and the scent is awful. Did they change the scent? I used to LOVE it. It reminded me of watermelon bubblegum. This new accent is floral somehow and smells like cheap perfume. I don't know if it's a mistake but if this is really a new scent I won't be buying anymore.

I really liked this brand with regard to its clean ingredients and gentle cleansing. The scent is nice and not too artificial smelling. However, the last bottle I bought was way way way water down which is obviously a tactic to spend less money on the product at the cost of the customers. I can’t get on board with this greed and poor business practice. I will not be buying from this brand again. Shame shame shame.
