It smells like men's deodorant and not in a good way. Old spice? Anyways I bought the Baylis & Harding Cedar soap instead and that has a nice woodsy scent--though I will say Ms Meyer is much better for keeping hands moisturized post washing. I like rose and peony so far from MM

I almost never write reviews, but specifically logged on to post this - unlike other Mrs. Meyer soaps, this scent is so overly strong and lingers on the hands. It actually smells nice, but is over-the-top completely overpowering.

The scent was not quite what I was expecting but it is pleasant. I was expecting something more outdoorsy smelling. This is not, in that I was disappointed as I was hoping from description. But, it sure does smell good. It's definitely more of a male scented soap. It smells very much like Men's cologne. I have placed it in the bathroom my Husband uses the most so he can get a little break from my typical flowery scented soap. Nice change for the winter months. cozy scent.
