I have thick, waist length, 2c hair. This balm did a great job at defining my wave texture while keeping my hair soft with no sticky residue. I used this balm on the lengths and then followed with some effortless waves spray all over. I let it air dry and it still looked good after sleeping on it, I just touched up with a little moisture reactivator spray. Usually products that don't create a cast don't hold up so well overnight but this combo (balm plus wave spray) did. The scent is fine. It's more "natural" but dissipates quickly.

This is my go to curl cream for when I want defined curls. It is very moisturizing but doesn’t weigh down my curls at all. When styling my curls with this product I’ll first evenly distribute it throughout my damp hair, then add a little water and use the praying hands method, and viola! Perfect curl clumps! Usually I’ll finish the styling routine with the fragrance free strong hold gel (which is another one of my favorites). All in all, highly recommend!

LOVE this when combined with the Hydro Style Flex Jelly gel! Provides great moisture for my fine 3A/B hair though its intended use is said to be for medium to coarse texture hair. Leaves my hair soft and using this combo (or switching up the styler with the Curl Defining Souffle) leaves my hair very defined, moisturized, and lasts me days. Will definitely be repurchasing in the jumbo size.
