Great little saw
I have been wanting a small saw for quite some time and this deal came up and I decided to add it to my collection of other Worx tools. I'm so happy with it's convenient size and the ease of use. I look forward to using for many projects and not having to get the big corded saw out every time.

Literally helped save our lives !
This compact circular saw actually saved my life, where I live we had a very very cold Winter and my house had a lot of ice dams built up all along the edge of the roof right above our bedroom. The roof started to leak in the ceiling and walls of the bedroom and I used that saw for everything from cutting the ice up in chunks, the wood on the eaves and roof on the outside and ceiling and walls inside. With my wife's help we actually made all the repairs and replacements in less than 2 days. It was so cold I couldn't use my razor knife to cut the asphalt shingles, I use that saw for cutting those also. Saved our lives, literally. Great circular saw. Never fail us at our time of need. Thank you Worx for making great tools. Robert MacPherson, Framingham MA. 👍🙏

Does not cut 2x4
This is a pretty nice saw BUT the web page states that it would cut at a 90 degree angle a 2x 4 stud (which is 1 ¾ inches) but the blade only cuts 1 ½ inches and not a 2x4 stud which is why I bought it so that was a big disappointment , if you don't need it to cut a 2x4 stud then any thig less this saw is ok

Thank you for sharing your experience with the WX531L. We appreciate your honest feedback and understand how important cutting capacity is when choosing a saw. The WX531L is designed for compact, lightweight cutting and has a maximum cutting depth of approximately 1-1/2 inches at 90°, which makes it ideal for plywood, MDF, and similar materials. However, it does not fully cut through a standard 2x4 in one pass. If cutting 2x4 studs is a primary need, you might consider one of our larger saws, such as the WX520L (7-1/4" Circular Saw) or the WX523L (Compact Circular Saw), which offer deeper cutting capacities. We’re sorry for the disappointment and hope this helps clarify the specifications. Thank you for choosing WORX!

Worked well until it stopped working.
The saw worked well for various projects for almost 4 years until it stopped working half-way thru a cut. All it does now when trying to use it is the light blinks on and off.

Go to saw!
Great saw, light weight and powerful, I was using the corded model a lot but battery op is the way to go. As a right hander I've always used saws that the motor is on the left so I can see the blade cutting on the line. Back in my builder days the worm drive skill was my saw of choice, being retired this is my go to now.

Needs better manual
The saw is easy to use after installing the blade, however I didn’t find the locking lever to set the bolt holding the blade tight. I knew there had to be one but looking at the manual I didn’t see it listed. I did find it though so I now don’t have to tighten the blade after every cut.

Don't believe it will bevel cut
I bought the Worx 3 3/8 inch circular saw because it would bevel cut. It worked ok with straight cutting, although I found the cutting guide useless on most lumber. When I went to use it for bevel cutting it would not function. The lumber was only 3/4 thick, well within the product capability as described. I had to rent a bevel cut saw to complete my project. I see the 3 3/8 saw isn't for sale anymore and I suspect this is why. Don't believe the hype about this saw cutting bevel cuts, as it is only slightly bigger than the 3 3/8 saw I got.

Surprisingly Powerful and Versatile
I bought this to cut trim for a bathroom reno - and found it very capable. I have used it to cut all kinds of things since: 3/4" MDF, 1/2" plywood, 2X4s, and PVC pipe. I added a second guide to make long cuts on the plywood and it does a great job. I have experienced excellent battery duration. Highly recommend!

Worth a try
I hope this will help someone decide if they should purchase this tool. I bought this tool to cut 2" pink close cell foam board. Per a YouTube posting, if you turn the blade around, it will cut the board with very little dust. It works like a charm. Maybe down the road I will install the blade correctly and see how it cuts lumber. I have 4 other Worx cordless tools and they are not bad for light duty jobs. So if you are a weekend DIY person, might give their tools a try.
