The flavor does not cook out even after simmering for 15 minutes. This makes it only suitable for dessert recipes and not for anything savory.

I bought 5 cans and had to return 4. This is the first time I bought a can of coconut cream from Target, I buy them all the time from the Asian store, or other groceries (different brands). This one has a smell and an after taste. It has a distinct smell and taste to it, that is definitely not coconut. I thought I can cook it off, it ruined my Thai curry.
