Q: I was going to purchase the Sparkling Cinnamon Tumbler as a gift . Why are there negative comments about the scent not lasting. Is there an explanation why there is an issue with the scent ?

  • A: Hi! We appreciate your interest in our products. Smelling the fragrances is very subjective thing and can be affected by many factors. We take great pride in the fact that we use as much fragrance oil as we can to create a smell that is as true-to-life as possible while delivering a candle that will burn properly from the moment you light it until the end. There are, however, some scents that are just naturally stronger than others (think of a bouquet of flowers, chances are the lily will be the scent you smell above all others). Sometimes there is a scent that is more difficult for one person to smell while others smell it very strongly (cinnamon is a perfect example of this). Regardless of the strength of the fragrance, our bodies will become accustomed to something we smell regularly and we will no longer detect it (think of your own cologne or even shampoo that you don't really smell on you but others can).  Environmental factors can also impact the strength of the scent e.g. the size of the room, other odors present, air flow and temperature.  If you have any more questions, please reach out to us via LiveChat or https://www.yankeecandle.com/customer-service/contact-form and we will be happy to assist further.     The Perfect Candle

    Great scent, tumbler style not my favorite

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fragrance itself is absolutely fantastic and it’s the type of fresh, warm day scent I was looking for. I personally like Pink Sands Glow better, but they’re similar and both still great. The only reason I didn’t give this five stars isn’t due to the scent itself, but rather the tumbler style candle. I think the double wicks burn far too quickly which gives off the underlying oil/burn scent that inferior candle brands do that don’t have the wick-to-size ratio correct that Yankee Candle typically does. Overall, still a good purchase but I’d go for the Large Jar style next time that I normally buy.

Place the candle in a smaller or enclosed space: Larger, open rooms can dilute fragrance quickly. 4. Avoid drafts: Airflow from vents or fans can reduce how well the scent circulates. For car fragrances: Ensure the vent clip or insert is fully open and placed on an active air vent for best performance.
