Assembly of the desk was

Assembly of the desk was rather difficult at the point of where the rotating steel rod needed to be put into place. The instructions were not adequate. I ended up taking one end back apart so I could get the rod into place. A picture-only instruction sheet is not adequate. Some LANGUAGE instructions would have been nice and preferred. Love the desk. Wasn't loving it during assembly. Was ready to send it back. Materials seem quality and I wanted a light-colored desk to hide any dust.

Excellent build quality, easy to use crank

Honestly I’m surprised at how great this desk is. It was easy enough to assemble (but take your time, the diagrams could be clearer,) and the crank is easy to use. I don’t know why people would spend hundreds more on an electric version of this, the hand crank is easy and painless. The desk itself is very, very sturdy, which also surprised me, I didn’t expect it to have such good build quality. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

While the quality materials and construction of the desk and legs is top-notch, I'm concerned though with the long-term usage of the armature to raise and lower the desk. A heavy-duty set-screw securing the crank handle to the rod seems necessary so that when pushing/pulling the handle, it doesn't come off the main rod. In retrospect, I believe I should have instead purchased the electric motor option rather than the hand-crank option. I just don't see the hand-crank lasting years with multiple daily usage. The lowest desk height setting should also be lower by several inches so that with the optional wheels, a standard office chair could be used. The wheels had to be removed so that a chair could be ergonomically used. Otherwise, the quality materials and build is to be commended.
