Great Size for Young Chefs... But Knives Are Not Great at Cutting

We bought these for our kids (4 and 6), so they could help with food prep in the kitchen. The knives are easy to hold for them, but are hard to use. Specifically, they don't cut very well, which leads to the kids sawing through the ingredients, which is not always the most helpful when getting a meal ready. The cutting board is nice, but slips and slides when being used. I like the feature of "crimping" it so food can slide off easier into a bowl, but it is hard to "crimp".
