Something has happened to your sasage.

too many fillings and it is too chewy. It has lost the Jimmy Dean Taste. I love eating Jimmy Dean Sausage and have for many years.

Been a favorite for breakfast for many years- recipe changed and it is sooooo gross now. So salty, with the grossest texture I’ve ever eaten. Super bummed. Won’t buy again until the recipe changes back…

Taste changed

I have been buying this sausage for about 10 years and the last 2 I bought tasted totally different and bad. Almost like a rancid cooking oil. Texture has also gotten worse. Spongy. I don’t know what was changed but I will no longer be buying these.

Fully cooked sausage

Please go back to the original recipe. The texture and the flavor is not the same. I have bought these for years. Unless the recipe changes back to the original, I will not buy again.

Degraded quality

We've been buying JD for years. Now, I think we're on our last bag of the pre-cooked patties. We read about recent formula changes, after questioning the consistency of the "meat". It no longer cuts, chews, or tastes like sausage. I don't know what they've done, but it was a poor decision to change the recipe.

WHat happened?

I use to only buy Jimmy Dean, Burt after paying good money for this product... that tastes like... well going to try and be nice... it is the worst ever thing I have ate. NEVER again Jimmy DEAN!!!

Its like eating a sponge? I liked jimmy dean sausage but this scrap is crap? Waste of money? With food prices so high its sad a product like this is even on the market?

Love the sausage for quick bfast at home or boat

Love the sausage. I add a little sage seasoning The only problem I have is the new packaging. The zipper on the front of the package. It is too small. Not easy to pull sausages out, and doing so sometimes gets sausage in the zipper, which makes it unsealable. GO BACK to the top zipper. Much easier to work with!!!

After the recipe/packaging change they're awful

I've been buying this product for quite a few months now and it's been decent enough for making breakfast sandwiches. However, after the recent change in packaging and change in product shape/size/smell/flavor, they're quite repulsive. The product now has an overly sour taste to them, unlike before which was more akin to a classic peppery sausage flavor. Not to mention there are fewer patties per bag. I won't be buying these any more.

Terrible sausage

We love the 8 pack of fully cooked sausage but the bulk size bag is rubbery with little flavor, smaller in size and appeared burnt, just not the same quality as the 8 pack, threw a full bag away after trying them.

Frozen Version Inferior to Refrigerated

I typically have one sausage patty per day, so I thought this product would be perfect for me. I cooked it on stove top per instructions. The taste was fine, but the texture is far inferior to that of the refrigerated product. It is very dense and does not crumble under my fork. I'll manage to eat these 13 patties then return to the refrigerated version.
