A: Thank you for your inquiry. NOW® essential oil products are intended solely for use as aromatherapy products; they’re not intended for internal use. Many of our essential oils are clearly labeled “Not for internal use” due to the fact that they’re highly concentrated, and for other safety considerations. Although some of our essential oils do qualify as food-grade, federal regulations state that a food or dietary supplement intended for ingestion must bear Nutrition Facts (food) or Supplement Facts (supplements), plus all appropriate serving information for that declared use. Since our oils are intended for aromatherapy, we’ve chosen not to market our essential oils for internal use, so we cannot recommend using them internally, and we can’t label them for any use other than aromatherapy. Certain essential oils can be used in foods, but typically in amounts so small that they can’t be conveniently measured using common household measuring devices. In addition, because essential oils are highly concentrated, they’re extremely potent and could increase the risk of injury to consumers when not used as directed, even if food grade. And some essential oils are not safe to consume internally at all, no matter how small the amount.

I have been using this product since July 2024 and just received an email this morning Feb.19, 2025 that this product has been recalled in Canada! I would like to know what health risks this poses to me because I have been using it in my baths for months!! I’ve also put a few drops in my vacuum bag to freshen the air while using it! It would be very helpful to know more about the recall and why you are still selling it in the USA?

Four SKUs of NOW® Essential Oils Eucalyptus Globulus Oil were recalled in Canada ONLY because the labels do not meet Health Canada’s requirements, which require expanded safety data. The oil will be available for sale again in Canada once it is relabeled. NOW® Essential Oils Eucalyptus Globulus Oil purchased in the US is NOT affected by this recall. The oil is safe when used as directed. As cautioned on the label, essential oils are highly concentrated and should be used with care. They are not for internal use and should be kept out of reach of children. Residents of Canada who did purchase this product in Canada can contact Puresource Natural Products by telephone at 1-800-265-7245, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm EST or by email at recall@puresource.ca.

This has a nice aroma, but it's extremely unlikely to be essential oil. Science says oil floats on water. I put several drops in the water in my diffuser and there's no sign of oil anywhere. It looks like water. I've had this experience before with other inexpensive "essential oils". I put a different brand of oil in that costs double per ounce, and it floats. Something smells fake here!

I love this Eucalyptus and have always thought it smells very good and true to Eucalyptus. I have also used Young Living and Aura Cacia and think it smells very similar, not sure why some think it smells weird? I love this for abhyanga body massage and for diffusing. A little goes a long way!

I’ve used this product a few times and never had a problem with it. It smells like eucalyptus should. I use it for multiple things, I use it in my diffuser, I use it when I have trouble breathing, I wipe off the counters with it as it makes the whole house smell good.

Ratings indicate this is a good product but I cannot smell it. Other people say they can smell it when they first enter my house . I’ve read up on it and the problem seems to be that you can get “ nose fatigue” from eucalyptus quickly. I’ve bought it numerous times hoping for a different outcome but I’m giving up. I haven’t had better luck w/other brands either so it’s not just this brand.

I bought this to use in making up an inhalant and I wish it had been a LITTLE more refined. Also the cap was loose the the oil had saturated the packaging, the label was wet and loose. Still I am using the oil and would probably buy it again.
Excellent product, I would highly recommend it for others to try.

My wife and I use this product a lot. We feel this is helping us keep the COVID-19 at bay. The eucalyptus is a must in our household. We hope it will always be available and at a reasonable price. This is the first time of getting it from you, we have gotten it from other places and was really satisfied with their quality, so will see how yours compare. Thinking there won't be much difference as it is a NOW product, the same as other places but went with yours because it was cheaper in price. Breathe a little on your masks, and just throughout your house on paper towels or hankies.

Good price and smell. My wife and I use it to gargle the throat. Mix 3 drops and some salt and 10 ml warm water. It helps a lot, to ease itchy throat.

So this product this time of year is great for us pets included. It keeps pesky biting creatures away such as mosquitos for our dog’s ticks it can’t be beat. A few drops in prime places and there. I put mine in a spray bottle for better control.
