I think this is perfect for a modern/ sleek interior. I also like that the black is forgiving and you can plate things very nicely even if it doesn't look "perfect", the dinner wear always gives it a clean look.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this set for our family and we have been using these dishes for 2 weeks I’ve been washing by hand or in the dishwasher with no sign of scratches or chips, they are holding up very well.They are really beautiful solid stoneware but delicate, they cannot go into a microwave. No problem for us because we don't use microwave but it's important for those who use them. Otherwise, they are very well made, slim design, heavy enough to hold up to serve hearty meals. The texture and pattern is elegant and unique! The gold is very metallic and the burgundy color makes a contrast with it. The mugs are big enough and I like the shape very much. They are such gorgeous dishes!

I've had the same set of white dishes for almost 20 years, and I love my new set. They're simple, clean but the touch of gold really makes the entire set. Highly recommend!!

The coffee cup is comfortable to hold while enjoying that cop of Joe. The bowls are a nice big size for soups or cereal and the plates will provide room for the biggest of appetites.

The color on the dinnerware is beautiful, the black and gold on the dinnerware goes very good together. These plates are made to last forever. You will fall in love too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, these came VERY well packaged, the box was definitely roughly handled yet everything survived in perfect condition. Now that out of the way let me say I love the design of this set, the gold accent is not too much and not too little. I love the, in my words, primitive yet elegant design and how they just make the table pop when I use them. This is the ONLY set of dishes I have ever used where I have been asked where I got them! Again just love them!
