  • A: Thanks for your question! To clean the Toilet Brush Canister, you can open the front of the holder, spray it with some cleaner, let it sit and rinse it out. Once the front is open, inside should be accessible. For the bristles, we do not have a specific recommendation on cleaning. However, we do offer refills for this part. The frequency of cleaning can depend on how often the item is used.

    Shockingly bad

    Bristles designed to go under the rim aren't well positioned and don't do their job. The head unscrewed while cleaning the bowl! So gross. I managed to push it back onto the handle long enough to dump it directly into the trash. Did no one test this product before putting it into the marketplace? I've always trusted OXO products but this couldn't be a more disappointing toilet cleaner. Unbelievable for how expensive this utter failure of a product was.

    terrible, expensive toilet brush

    Good idea, terrible design. The blue bristles designed to go under the rim are too long and stiff to actually scrub anything. I've had better toilet brushes that cost 1/3 of this.

    Neat, clean and useful!

    This brush works great on scrubbing under the rim of the toilet and the holder keeps things neat and clean. I like that you can just grab the handle and pull up to open the holder and get the toilet brush out. it stays open until you place the brush back inside and then it closes when you put it back.

    Do not buy

    I usually love OXO products, but as other reviews note the brush head easily snapped off and broke. This happened 6 months after I bought this and I had to pay a plumber $300 to get the toilet fixed. Do not recommend.

    Dont buy this brush!

    This brush is worthless! The brush head screws into the handles with threads. When I cleaned the toilet the brush head repeatedly disconnected from the handle even though each time I retightened it on the handle securely. I had to fish it out of the toilet water each time. Pretty disappointing and disgusting.

    Online it’s $29.99 Went to store to purchase and they mark it up 5 bucks!! Unreal!! And in Hawaii they don’t honor price adjustment but you’ll still get the price when you buy online. What is this double standard?! And for quality, you gotta keep turning the stick to the right so it won’t screw off… for $35 this design and function should’ve been FLAWLESS!! 🤬

    Handle unscrews from the brush while using

    First some background, I have had the OXO Toilet Brush & Plunger Combo for years and it has been a good, reliable product. This one I have used only once. It turns out the handle unscrews from the brush quite easily. The movement of brushing the toilet consistently caused the brush to unscrew and subsequently fall in the toilet. I didn't spend a lot of time troubleshooting this one, but then how much do you really want to handle a brush that has fallen into a toilet. I would not recommend.

    Brush constantly unscrews

    The brush keeps coming loose from the wand. I saw the many other reviews that complained about the same thing but I thought maybe they didn’t tighten it before using. So I purchased it despite the reviews and tightened it securely before the first use. Using it just once, it came loose multiple times while scrubbing. I was wearing gloves so I tried tightening it again several times to finish scrubbing, and within seconds it would come loose again. Believe all the reviews that say the brush comes loose and DON’T buy it. Nobody wants to have to screw it back on after it’s been in the toilet!

    Zero stars, terrible design!

    I'm a fan of Oxo generally, and had recently purchased what must have been an older style, that I loved. This is a disaster from my very first scrub. Generally, when scrubbing a back and forth motion with pressure is required, which instantly unscrews the brush on this thing. UGH!!! A big waste of $27.
