A: I don't think the brand expert was lying, the question was about the wand, not the pad. The pad IS intended to go into the water, however, it's hard to keep the wand out of the water to be thorough!

A: The "brand expert" is lying. When you read the full details and instructions in the item posting, it states multiple times that we have to put the pad INTO the toilet water. So this is truly NO different than using the good old fashioned toilet bowl brush, cleaner, & wear some rubber (cleaning) gloves. *of course it is good to rinse yhe brush then with hot water, bleach, then hot water again, to disinfect it - depending on the product used.

A: The storage caddy holds the wand and the refills! The top of the caddy opens and you put your refills inside. There is a spot on the front of the caddy for the wand to stand in between uses.
