California Pizza Kitchen Frozen Buffalo Chicken Thin Crust Pizza - 13.4oz

This is one of my favorite frozen pizzas, the crust is thin and crispy, the texture is that of a normal thin crust pizza. The chicken , sauce and cheese blend together nicely and its full of flavor.

First, I did not receive a promotional pizza and do not and have not ever been paid for my opinions .... I became hooked on CPK's BBQ chicken pizzas in their restaurants, and when I saw they were available frozen, I began buying them ever since (guessing 30 years now?).. When I saw there was a frozen Buffalo Chicken pizza, I purchased it. Having just eaten it and looking at the first half dozen reviews, I decided to weigh in with my take. First, the quality of ingredients used are 5 stars for a frozen pizza. As for the reviewer who said it needed more sauce, I halfway agree. Personally, I prefer a lighter amount of sauce on pizza, and even I think this could have used more sauce to keep it from feeling too dry on the tongue. However, if they'd added more Buffalo sauce, I think it may have made the spicy-heat too spicy for a good chunk of people. I drizzled my last slice with a bit of balsamic glaze/reduction, and I would recommend doing this to anyone who finds the buffalo sauce to be either too spicy-hot or anyone looking to add another dimension and enhance the overall taste. I will be adding a balsamic drizzle on every slice going forward. The thin crust came out perfectly cooked without being as crunchy as a kettle potato chip.If I was in charge of the CPK test kitchen, I would consider doubling the amount of the sweet red onions as they really complemented the buffalo sauce. There just wasn't enough of them, and a couple of slices ended up having no onion. I did enjoy this pizza, but if I'm getting a CPK thin crust pizza, I'd prefer the BBQ chicken. I recently purchased/ate one of their newer Neapolitan pizzas, and it was 100% the absolute best frozen pepperoni pizza I've ever eaten, markedly better than my prior favorite, the Screamin'Sicilian pepperoni pizza, and it was actually significantly better than any pizza chain AND mom/pop pizza parlor that I've tried since I had my first bite of pizza in the 1980s. While I wouldn't recommend making a direct effort to go and purchase the CPK Buffalo pizza, I can, if your time and budget allow it, recommend grabbing one the next time you're going through the frozen pizza section trying to decide which one to get.

I've purchased this pizza in the past and it seems the quality has changed. The current pizza had very little chicken and the crust seems different and not very tasty. will not buy again.

Disappointing hardly any toppings and crust is like a thick dry tortilla. One star because the sauce is good.

This mostly tasted like hot sauce. The crust was typical cheap cardboard, pizza crust. The amount of toppings was about what you would expect at this price point. I won’t buy this one again.

Not enough buffalo sauce. Crust tastes like a dry cracker. Not enough toppings. I was so disappointed by this pizza. I've always liked the bbq chicken pizza, but after trying this I might never by a CPK pizza ever again.

Pretty good pizza. Spicy but not too spicy. Could have a bit more chicken on it. As others mentioned you could hardly taste the chicken.

dry. barely any buffalo. did not taste the onions at all. chicken was okay alone, but you could barely taste it on the pizza too. crust felt and tasted like CARDBOARD! honestly worst pizza i've ever had :( please do not waste your money

This pizza is very dry. Nothing that is good about pizza applies to this pizza. It’s dry, cheese is dry, not enough buffalo sauce. So disappointed, especially since California pizza is a more expensive brand.

Pretty small for the price

There were 4 small pieces of chicken on the whole pizza. Disappointing.

Terribly bland. No sauce and barely any meat!

This pizza is delicious. I like the flavor. It’s definitely spicy, but not too spicy. The crust is crispy, especially the edges.
