Nintendo Super Mario Course Complete Playset

Does not work well; Mario won’t stay put on the stairs no matter the positioning. Very frustrating for my son.

This is the most FRUSTRATING toy ever. It could be amazing and it is simply designed terrible! Mario does not click in to the clear shoe piece. And that piece does not click into the plastic on the stairs, it simply sits on top.. so as you move the stairs up, he falls every single time. His hand should be able to click onto the flag and it doesn't and same with feet! Don't waste your money. Dust collector.

It is cute because the kiddos love to make it to the flag and win. However Mario figure does not ride the stairs up. The clip they give just lets him fall off. Very frustrating to the kiddos. I will keep only because he uses imagination play and does his own thing.

I love this set very interactive. Works great with all the other playsets. Looks just like it does on the game.

Very cutie and engaging. Well made toy that is a breeze to assemble. My son will play for it for about an hour at a time. It does have a limited age appeal, but it has great value.

I am annoyed most of these reviews are clearly people who didn’t even put the toy together or try to play with it, as evidence by them just posting a picture of the box. It doesn’t work! Mario falls over every time you crank it, there is no way to get him to the top without repositioning him after every step. Maybe would be fine as display only. It is sturdy and not cheap feeling, I will give it that. And easy to put together (and take apart, to return).

He’s still at the age where he can still be entertained with simple things, so he doesn’t mind making Mario go up the stairs and down the pole many, many, many times in a row haha

As if my son didn’t have enough Mario toys, I had said no more toys until his birthday (in December) low & behold we went to the toy section & this one was a MUST! Classic, how could I not add this to his collection?!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves this Mario toy, keeps him entertained for hours. Assembly was quick and easy took less than 5 minutes to setup. It’s a pretty cool toy, Mario can walk up and down the steps by connecting his feet to a plastic piece and standing him up on stairs then you just turn the crank and he’ll walk up or down the stairs. Cute toy and worth the money.

My kid loved having Mario go up the stairs and down the flag pole (small learning curve to get him not to fall!). Assembly was very fast and easy. There are only 6 pieces that snap together, so I appreciate the fact that it doesn’t have a million little pieces to put together to create the course. While my 8 yr old son only played with it for a few minutes after he built it, I would think this is definitely geared towards younger kids (box says 3+), so maybe 3-5 yr old it would be entertaining. There’s a manual turn dial on the back of the brick staircase that allows Mario to climb the stairs. This toy does not play sound or require any type of batteries. I wouldn’t purchase this at retail price, maybe I would consider it at 50% off for a younger child that’s a fan of Mario.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the target audience is a little younger than my 10 year old, so he wasn’t as into it as I thought he’d be. However the pieces seem pretty sturdy and easy to set up. I think a younger Mario fan would have a blast with this set.
