Buyer Beware if wanting to add extra members on current account
Receipt & process of loading e-gift card value on existing account was straightforward. Account shows gift card will be used going forward on future billing. However, adding an extra outside family member using Disney+ instructions to do so at a reduced rate is no longer an option on my account. After 2 calls and a Disney Ticket # assigned to my case, I was told that since I was no longer paying Disney+ directly, but rather using a gift card, I no longer had the option/ability to add an outside family member. They couldn't remove the gift card from my account & could not provide any other resolution than my paying more for a brand new subscription. I should have added the extra member to my account first, THEN added the gift card value.

I bought 8 of these $25 gift cards. Three worked fine. The other 5 didn't - I typed in the numbers multiple times. So glad I just wasted $125...

Didnt even get the card
I'm not sure if this is targets fault or disneys fault but I have never got my card. Although I bought this on August 10 right before my daughters birthday and an email came that same night, saying that the card id was already sent but I checked spam's, deletes, and I could not find it at all. This is really frustrating and 25$ down the drain. I contacted targets service team but they told me to call the e card associates team. The call time was already 20 minutes and nobody answered. I called when they opened too. (CT) I guess I'm going back to Netflix .

difficult to redeem.
Very hard time trying to redeem this card. First had to change to monthly subscription, then cancel account and resubscribe. Card appeared on account but wouldn't use balance, kept charging credit card.. Many calls to Disney+ keep telling me theres an issue with gift card redemptions and they are working on it.

Listen to the bad reviews and avoid
I have previously bought these many times to get the 5% discount using my red card and thus cheaper Disney+. I have never had an issue until now and despite buying and topping up my Disney+ with these many times I can not redeem the most recent code I purchased from Target. It gives an error every single time and not even Disney support can help me as they cannot figure out what is going on as the card shows as valid when it's checked but it will not redeem it's credit to my account.

Won't Work on Year Subcriptions, Cannot return!
My advice: stay away from these! I tried to use it for year subcription payment, it wont work! TC says only monthly, even in monthly is a PAIN to use, you have to pay first month with your credit card, then you can Disney support to make it work in your account. Good luck!

Despite mixed reviews, I decided to trust Target’s reputation and purchased a gift card. Unfortunately, I encountered the same issue many others reported: the card seemed inoperative. The crux of the problem lies in the discrepancy between Disney’s instructions and those on the redemption site. Specifically, there are distinct steps for redeeming Target’s physical versus digital gift cards. My experience with the digital card revealed that the provided directions were incorrect. To clarify for future users, it’s imperative to follow the instructions on the gift card’s dedicated site. Do not visit disneyplus.com/redeem; instead, navigate directly to disneyplus.com/gift. This step is essential for successful activation. Once logged in, the site prompted me to verify the card’s balance, which it then offered to apply to my account. It informed me that after my current payment method expires—in my case, a credit card—the gift card balance would be automatically applied, extending my subscription to a new expiration date. For continuous service, one can add another gift card immediately or wait until closer to the expiration date.

Deceitful
The Disney+ gift card cannot be used UNLESS you purchase a Disney+ subscription. They will ask for a credit card number. The NETFLIX gift card does not work that way. I bought their card, used it, and no credit card information was asked for. If I had known that the gift card is only good for a down payment on a Disney+ subscribtion, I would not have bought it. Pretty sneaky of Disney.

I don't know if Target is selling this for a third party, but it is definately NOT a Disney+ gift card. When you check balance on Disney+, the card doesn't exist. Cannot use on Disney+ for monthly subscription.

WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE!
I have two Disney+ gift cards are completely useless. I have not been able to redeem for a monthly Disney+ subscription and it has been over a month. I have spent hours on the phone and talking with support and no one can tell me why I can't complete the subscription process using the gift cards. I just keep getting error messages even though the gift cards have a value and appear to be working. Worst thing is that I have searched all over the internet and can't find anything written about this "known issue." DISNEY ATO STOP SELLING THESE GIFT CARDS!
