I loved them
I bought these to try because they are savory. They are so delicious, crunchy and sour. I will get them again. They are perfect for savory girl dinner.

Absolutely the Best
I love these pickles. It's impossible to eat any sort of pate without them. Also, great in beef stews.

Disappointment - No More Lifter and Poor Taste
In general, I've always enjoyed the Maille brand especially for the Dijon mustard but especially the cornichons. Have loved them! ... The last few jars I noticed a change in the lifter missing from the jars and I am very disappointed. Why? It offered such a convenient and quick way to easily get to the cornichons. In addition, the taste of the cornichons has changed - it was sour and lacking depth of flavor the last few times. I'll buy another jar as I am hoping the last two jars were bad batches. Next time, I'll return the batch to the store for a credit and that will be my last attempt.

Bring back lifter and onions with cornichons
Bring back the abundance of pearl onions and the pickle lifter in the cornichon jar. It’s not the same product without them.

Authentic-tasting French Cornichons
Excellent authentic-tasting French cornichons. I am writing expressly to thank you for eliminating the plastic lifter. 20+ years ago it was demonstrated that hormone-acting plasticisers leach into foods - even bottled water - and cause adverse human and environmental health effects. Acidic foods like pickles cause even greater leaching.

Love ‘em but please BRING BACK THE BASKET!
Love the flavor and texture of these pickles, along with my entire family. You need to move quickly in my home if you want your share! That said, the green basket is deeply missed.

Alas, they really did eliminate the basket
Bring back the lifting basket. It is what made Maille the best and most elegant product - the gold standard in cornichons. It was 2 days ago when I reached for a jar on the shelf of a local fine grocery and thought the jars were counterfeit. Why? Because the lift basket was not in the jar. I thought that no one at Unilever would be so foolish as to change what made this product distinctive and elegant, so these must be counterfeit. Alas, the MBAs have cut cost and removed the distinctive lifting basket. What a shame......guess the Unilever CEO needs a bigger Gulfstream - so cut costs at all costs even if we ruin the product.... sigh....

Not sweet
I think I was expecting sweet gherkins but these aren’t it. Too bad because they were pretty expensive.

More vinagery and no strainer-lifter!
There do seem to be fewer onions in the jar I just bought and the cornichons themselves seem a bit larger than the usual run, but vegetables can be variable... The flavor, however, is a bit different from that of the jar we just finished, and the absence of the lifting basket is an irritant that will probably send us forth to look for another brand. Discontinuing such a distinctive, thoughtful convenience that made Maille stand apart from a crowded market is an unfortunate choice, because there are a lot of pickles on the shelf that don't have lifting baskets and we may as well try those...

bring back the baskets!
I have long been an enthusiastic supporter of Maille Original Cornichons Gherkins. Their crisp texture, perfect acidity, and unmistakable quality once set them apart as a premium choice for anyone seeking the perfect accompaniment to a charcuterie board or simply a satisfying snack. However, a recent change to the product’s design has severely impacted my experience — and I believe, the overall quality of the product itself. Historically, Maille distinguished itself not only through the exceptional taste of its cornichons but also through thoughtful packaging. The inclusion of a small plastic basket inside the jar — designed to lift the cornichons out of the brine — was a brilliant and elegant solution. It allowed consumers to enjoy the gherkins hygienically and conveniently, without the need to fish around in the brine with fingers or utensils. Shockingly, this iconic basket has now been removed. This seemingly small change has had a surprisingly significant impact. Without the basket, the experience of retrieving the cornichons has become messy and frustrating. More importantly, I have noticed a decline in the texture and overall freshness of the cornichons themselves — as if the spirit of care and quality that Maille once poured into this product has diminished alongside the removal of the basket. This disappointing decision undermines the very characteristics that once made Maille the gold standard in cornichons. I sincerely urge Maille to reconsider and reinstate the iconic basket. It was a small but vital part of what made these cornichons so special — and without it, the product feels diminished in quality, experience, and brand identity. Please, Maille, bring back the basket — and with it, the excellence we have come to know and love

Where’s the onion?
I have been buying this product for years. I just bought six more jars as I serve them re-quo Puent employ. Although I have no problem with the removal of the plastic strainer, I get cost need to be cut, there was one onion in the entire jar. So we opened the other jar on the counter, and there was only one onion in that jar totally not OK.

Love the flavour, disappointed in cost cutting
The pickles seem to be as good as they were when I shared them with my Nana, but one annoying decision was when they apparently removed all the pickle lifters from the jars. Total loss of convenience, for something that probably cost less than a single cucumber. Not a good sign from an upscale brand, it seems quality of the product is the next to go if they keep cutting costs.z

So tasty! These are always on my charcuterie board and chopped up in chicken salad. These are definitely not sweet. Highly addictive!

Why no pickle lifters?
Very disappointed that you are no longer including the pickle lifters with the cornichons. Will be searching for other brands.

These are the only pickles I ever eat. I thought I did not like pickles. I am very sad that the plastic strainer is no longer in the jars. I do understand that you are being environmentally conscious. Oh, I wish I save one!

Buyer Beware
The Cornishon’s that were sent were completely different flavor than what is mentioned or pictured here. Regular Corneuson‘s are sweet baby Gerkin’s. What was sent was some incredibly spicy version, and not what was ordered. BUYER BEWARE
