The double-layered edges and vent holes allow firewood to burn completely and promote secondary combustion. Secondary combustion circulates oxygen which allows the fire to burn hotter, turning logs into ash to minimize particles that otherwise would have created smoke. Secondary combustion begins after the fire pit has heated up, and there may be smoke immediately after igniting it. For the best results, use dry wood or wood pellets to build a fire. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to Influenster and Sunnydaze Decor, I received the Sunnydaze Arrow Motif Black Steel Smokeless Fire Pit and Cover for free, in exchange for my honest opinion and review. The smokeless fire pit is not magical and it still produces smoke, but the secondary combustion does a great job of making the smoke cleaner. It does take a bit of time to maneuver the wood logs and learn how to optimize the fire position, for less smoke. The smokeless design does reduce smoke substantially for the majority of the burn, but not 100%.

Loving that it comes with a poker and also a cover so after you have a fire in a cool down, you can cover it for the season for the night for the day! I’m am soooo going to enjoy this fire pit..
