[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect addition to my home office. I have a thicker carpet in my home office and my chair just did not roll very well at all on the carpet. This mat is just the right size for my chair/desk footprint. I love the idea of having the protection for my carpet. Now my chair rolls smoothly when getting in or out of it. It is well made and sturdy. I did have to unroll it and put some hand weights down in each corner and in the center of it so that it flattened out before using it. I let it flatten out over the weekend and now it stays flat.

The Deflecto chair mat is doing the job of keeping the floor in tact until the flooring company can come back. I plan to keep the mat in place permanently to prevent any future issues.

The one thing I will say is when you unroll it you will need to place something heavy on all four corners until it becomes flat or it will roll back up on you. My wife did find it difficult for her chair to roll on the mat. She did really like how easy the mat is to clean if something gets spilled on it which is nice. The mat is made from a pretty durable material so we feel like it will last for a long time.

It it thick so that also helps with the sound. It is the perfect size and I love that it is clear so I can still see my floor under it.

I have a super comfortable chair with wheels that used to be hard to wheel about due to the carpet. I am now able to wheel about freely with my chair mat.
