Gardein Frozen Ultimate Fish Meat Alternative - 6ct/15oz

I've had other "fish" fillets before so I'm happy my grocery store in SE Alaska started carrying these. It's tough being a vegan in a fishing town!

Just had this for the first time and super impressed with the taste and texture.

The new version is not good. It does not taste as good as the old f*sh fillets. It’s higher in calories. It tastes unhealthy whereas the old version had great flavour and felt like a healthier choice. Please bring back the f*sh fillet.

Sadly, not even close to their old 'battered' fish version. This is basically a slightly different version of their breaded "chicken" tenders, but a wider fillet. Their older version of the fish fillets, that are no longer produced, were superb as far a vegan fish go. This older battered product was so similar in smell and flavour to actual fish, it was amazing. I guess they are looking to cut corners and use more "bread crumb" coating for their products instead of batter. Not impressed as the NEW version is more expensive with less taste and texture to fish. Total disappointment. Will not be purchasing it again

Compared to the original breading, the extreme ones are kinda sad. Please just stick with what was good.

I’m allergic to fish, but love the taste of it fish fillet. These look and taste just like a real fillet. I love them. I put them on a hamburger bun, throw on a little tartar sauce and I’m good to go. A whole bunch of flavor, and I don’t have hives, lol.

I loveeee these fish sticks. 10/10 give me 15 of them right now! Even better with a good Tartar Sauce. I have been craving fish sticks since last week and I was like... Let me see where I can get vegetarian fish sticks. I found this page and then went in store, bought it, tried it, and absolutely loved it. I bake them since I don't have an air fryer but I believe the air fryer would take lesser time. I actually bake them longer than the instructions show for a crispier texture and then I cut them in half so they can look like actual fish sticks and not fish blocks lol! Then proceed to do a food dance while i dip them in tartar sauce☺️

Excellent. Taste awesome.. I cooked in an air fryer. Love that the "fillets" have no Sat. Fat.

The texture is great but there is no fish/seafood flavor whatsoever. It tastes exactly like any other breaded chicken product, whether from their own brand or any other plant-based chicken brand. So it's definitely not worth the price tag. If you want the fish stick flavor, stick to the original fishless filets.

If you used to like fish like a lot but now you're vegan, this is the food for you. I used to like fish, but that was so long ago that I kind of hated this because it was TOO fish-like. Great product, absolutely not for me. It felt like I was eating real fish and I was not comfortable with that.

I have been buying this for a few months now, after I found it in two local stores I frequent. Since I ate seafood before I became a vegan, I have missed eating fish the last few years, but this is close to the real thing and impressively satisfying. Even has a skin like texture for those who appreciate it.

The strangest thing is that they have bags that have 5 filets and some that have 6. In this economy my family need to get 6 filets not 5. They are good as far as taste I say 5 star but the lack of integrity on the quantity has me at a 3. Get them knowing it will be 5 or 6 not 6.

Bought this several times. Sadly, hard to find now 🙁. Definitely our favorite vegan seafood product

I’ve been a vegetarian for 12 years and have always been a fan of the Gardein products since they came out. The fish alternative was always one of my favorites, but the targets near me have never had them in stock. Until they came out with this one in the new packaging. They are delicious and have a good amount of protein. I’ve used them in so many different ways and it is so easy to make. The reason I’m giving 4 stars is obviously for the price of what you get. Vegetarian meat alternatives have always been ridiculously expensive in my opinion. The bag is around $11 where I live and you only get I think 5-6 fish fillets. I have a family of 4 (all mostly vegetarians who love this product as well) and this doesn’t really cover all of us. Overall a great meat alternative, just wished they would come out with bigger bags for a decent price.

Very tasty fish less filets .. baked in oven for 20 minutes at 420 degrees; yummy 😋

I prefer the battered fish. I can get breaded from other brands. This was a huge disappointment. Will not purchase again.
