I also appreciate that it's made with natural ingredients. Overall, I'd highly recommend this body wash if you're looking for something that's good for sensitive, acne-prone skin!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received SheaMoisture’s African Black Soap Body Wash in exchange for my honest opinion. I’ve been a fan of other SheaMoisture products and this one is no different. The packaging is sleek. First thing I noticed is the scent. It’s a light powdery scent to me. Not overpowering at all. Next is the color and texture. True to the name, it’s a black soap. It has the tiniest exfoliating beads. I kinda wish they were bigger, but they are super gentle. The product claims to provide 24 hours of visible moisture. I do feel that my skin was moisturized after a shower, but I still use lotion, so I cannot verify that I was moisturized for 24 hours just from the body wash. The product is not made with parabens or sulfates, so that’s another plus. I would not be opposed to adding this body wash into my rotation.

It is a gentle, soothing cleanser perfect for sensitive or acne-prone skin. (I have VERY sensitive skin) It lathers well, leaves my skin feeling soft and calm, and has a light, pleasant scent. It is infused with natural ingredients like oats, aloe, and African black soap, it helps reduce irritation without stripping all of its moisture. However, if you have VERY dry skin you may still need a moisturizer afterward, it’s a solid go-to for everyday use. Love the black and gold packaging!

Doesn’t really have a scent but you feel fresh after a shower with this body wash

I noticed improved hydration & texture with continued use and it also seems like my body acne is less. It lathers well and a little goes a long way. I'm just not too crazy about the scent.

I normally use a body sponge or loofah, but I ended up using a white wash cloth once with the is and it stained it; so be careful. This product leaves my skin so soft and it’s great for sensitive skin. The lather on this is amazing, no matter what you use to wash your body, it will lather perfectly.
