Our new African Black Soap, Calm & Clearing Bar soap is designed specifically for melanin-rich skin. Infused with African Black Soap, Oats, Aloe, & Vitamin E, this bar soap gently cleanses and helps balance dry, troubled skin, leaving it feeling calm, smooth, and visibly moisturized for 24 hours. Our moisturizing Bar soap is formulated with fair trade Shea Butter. Through our proprietary Shea Emulsion technology, we were able to break down Shea Butter into thousands of droplets that provide even, smooth coverage across the skin. This bar soap is 92% naturally derived and free from sulfates, parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, and petrolatum. For best results, use this bar soap in combination with other products from SheaMoisture's African Black Soap Collection.

A: I'm as pale as they come, but after much experimentation, I've found that this is the right replacement if you used to use the now discontinued Tone cocoa/shea soap. Keeps psoriasis / eczema in check.

Soap dried my skin out which is not effective for me. Scent smelled similar to other black soaps, no distinct differences. Packaging was nothing special. Overall rating 2.5/5.

Perfect to remove heavy makeup after a long day

I really enjoy how it lathers and I’m looking forward to seeing how well in works in time. I don’t use it daily yet to ensure no allergies but so far so good!

It lathers well and leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped. It’s especially great for cleansing and balancing, particularly if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin. The scent of Shea Moisture Black Soap is slightly herbal, with a hint of sweetness. It’s not overpowering its mild and natural, which if you don’t like fragrance in your products this may not be the product for you. I on the other hand did not mind the scent at all.

I actually received this around the time I noticed dry skin spots. I immediately started using it and the dry spots have almost disappeared. Good Scrub
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed this product. It has a exfoliating feel to the bar that I use on my face and it feels good. It suds up white and doesn't leave as much of a black residue as other black soaps I ve used in the shower. The scent is really nice and pleasant. I would recommend this soap.
