    Great paddle!

    Just started playing pickle ball. Always have played tennis(my first love). This brand of paddle was given to me as a loaner. I used other “loaners” but quickly realized the Selkirk was my favorite!

    After playing that paddle for about the last 10 years, or so, I noticed right away the surface has more texture and the handle is a bit longer. Not sure about the core. I immediately added some lead on the sides. Tried it and took a little tape off. I am pretty happy with it now, but still adjusting.

    Nicely balanced

    Since starting pickleball nearly 3 years ago, I’ve always used a power paddle, with my preferred Project 005 no longer in production. I decided to demo this paddle since I wanted a bit more control. This is a terrific paddle — it gives some the control I was looking for, and I can still generate the power I need. Made the decision to play a tournament using the paddle since I felt confident with it and won my mixed division.

    Perfectly Fine Paddle

    Got this paddle to replace my SLK Evo Hybridmax when it seemed like I was getting too many dead spots after two years. I had been happy with it though and this one had the right price. I like this paddle-it’s a bit lighter and has a much rougher surface (have not tried the spin capability) but I was able to pick it up and play with no getting used to it. I like that it’s not boring and bland black and it has my initial on it too :)

    A little disappointed

    I was a little disappointed. It is just a bit too loud when I hit the ball. Also the Padel is a bit thick . I assumed that since it is quite lightweight which is what I would wanted, the handle would be a a little slimmer. It is hard to ascertain what is best to buy when it has not been physically tested like in a shop. When buying online one takes a chance.

    Love new paddle

    Love my new Selkirk Amp Control. It’s quieter than my older Selkirk, and I feel like it gave me immediate improvement to my control on 3rd shot drops and finesse shots at the kitchen.

    Amped up

    This Amp is my third paddle. It is lighter, a little larger face and has a micro finish that allows more spin (so you have to be careful as you can easily get your opponents mad at you).

    Good paddle

    Good quality

    So far it appears to be of good quality. I practiced with a demo at our local facility and was aware of how the paddle played. However, I made an assumption that the new paddle would have a little more power based on a review and hoped that the paddle I was using to test was just older and used and abused. I love the grip and the surface for spin, just not the pop I was hoping for. Plus, a reasonable price compared to some of the carbon paddles.

    Love this paddle!!

    This paddle gives me better control and just feels right for me. I’ve only been playing for 14 months and I’m still learning and getting beyond a beginner level. This paddle has helped me improve my game a lot!
