The rice came out well cooked and not mushy. Of course it didn't have nearly enough chicken as I prefer but the chicken I did try tasted juicy and I was craving more. I was very excited to try this meal as Zatarain's has always made delicious Cajun food and seasonings that are easily found at the local grocery store. I was able to easily find these frozen bowl meals at my nearest grocery store. I used the microwave directions, however, there's also an option to bake it in the oven. The whole meal was evenly cooked with no mushy rice or "funny" pieces of chicken :) The taste was good overall with plenty of chicken and without having any overbearing lime or cilantro flavors. I feel that it could have used a bit more flavor; I was born and raised in the South, and I am accustomed to spicier foods. After enjoying my meal, I tested the black plastic bowl further by washing and drying it in the dishwasher. The bowl came out spotless with no visible damage. This test was for anyone that crafts or reuses containers.....Zatarain's did not disappoint.....reuse away!!! :)

It had a really good flavor and I loved the combination of the ingredients of the rice, chicken and veggies. It's so easy to heat up and makes for a quick delicious lunch. I happen to be a huge fan of cilantro and it does not disappoint with that flavor. It does have some heat to it so if you have any kind of aversion to heat or spice, do not eat it, however it doesn't need anything else to be added to put flavor in it. This is something I would make for myself and so when I'm having a craving for a cilantro rice flavoring with a Cajun twist, this one hits the spot. The chicken was surprisingly tasty without being chewy. The rice is thick in comparison to a lighter and fluffier rice so if you're a texture person, this could be a little bit offputting but overall I would buy/eat this again. At first glance, I thought the portion was gonna be too small, but once I started eating it, I realized that the rice was filling me up a little bit more than I anticipated so the portion was just right for me.

The flavor was great and it was just enough food to fill me up for lunch. the chicken in this was not the chicken that looks like its fake and rubbery. Overall this was an amazing lunch
