Q: I have been purchasing these diapers for over a year and the order I just received feels different. Was there a change made recently? They are not nearly as soft and the grips are much smaller.

submitted by Emily - 3 months ago
  • A: Ordered from the Kudos website and got the following response after noticing the difference and writing to them. I think on the blog post it says they’re made in Mexico now. Either they exited already or are getting ready for one… I’d like to update my review to state they smell awful now with pee but Target won’t let me. Thank you so much for reaching out and for sharing this honest feedback! We recently updated our diaper model and shared an announcement with subscribers, but it sounds like we may have missed you. I apologize for the surprise of receiving something different than what you were expecting. The updated design includes a few key changes based on parent feedback – adjustments to the fit, the addition of comfort tabs for a more secure hold, snugger leg cuffs to help with leak protection, and a slightly updated size range. These updates were all intended to improve overall performance, all while keeping everything that makes Kudos, Kudos – 100% U.S.-sourced cotton liners, Total Chlorine Free (TCF) wood pulp, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, and our patented DoubleDry absorbency technology. You can learn more about these updates on our blog: https://mykudos.com/blogs/news/diaper-upgrades Thank you again for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We truly value this kind of transparent feedback from families who have gotten a chance to try out the updates! Best regards, Chezel

  • A: agreed, and there's a bit of a smell to them. i hope they go back to the previous version

submitted byDani - 2 months ago
  • A: They did say they were changing their diapers and it's so unfortunate because these feel so rough and cheap!

submitted byK - 2 months ago
  • A: I would love to know the answer here. I agree the front now is more narrow and tabs don’t wrap around to meet the back like the old ones. Which is super disappointing because now our baby has more leaks, and I’m switching back to Millie Moons, which is a shame because I liked the Kudos product a ton being USA made & cotton. :( I have compared them to previous bulk pack from October 2025 and it’s significantly smaller, same size diapers, but newer ones lacking a lot of material on the front / around tabs. Can confirm what you are reporting! I second it! Why did the brand alter the design?

submitted byJen - 2 months ago

Q: Why is the sizing on Target's site different from Kudos' direct site, is it a different diaper?

submitted by Jam - 2 years ago
  • A: From my kudos email: Are the Kudos diapers at Target the same as the diapers available on your website? The Kudos diapers available at Target will be the new, enhanced, made in the USA, white diapers we announced last week. You can learn more about the enhancements here! https://mykudos.com/blogs/news/rolling-out-an-enhanced-kudos-diaper?utm_source=Klaviyo&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=60%20Years%20Late%20%2801J1G7Q15WGEQSHB267CT7VFZ0%29&_kx=1LLHLF4khfr_3ZwNcsbZnUPwz9FK231B32rtz8xCIE-SrEPAwbHhdcFZ1lHNmpmn.HzsbM2

submitted byAjking - 2 years ago
  • A: I believe it's because this is their "enhanced" diaper that they just announced a few days ago -- so these ones should accommodate larger sizing.

submitted byNeha - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi! As the community has pointed out, the Kudos diapers available at Target are indeed our new enhanced made in the USA diapers. Based off of feedback from our customers, these diapers are slightly longer and wider than our traditional Kudos diapers, which is why you see the size discrepancy. They still feature the same 100% cotton-lining, OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification, TCF-free pulp, and DoubleDry protection that our customers love and expect from us! Q: Do these have a blowout barrier?

submitted by Jenn - 2 years ago
  • A: Yes they do have a blowout barrier

submitted byJen - 2 years ago
  • A: I have 40+ years of experience using cloth and disposable diapers. Their is no diaper on planet earth that protect against blowouts.

  • A: Hi Jenn -- No separate blowout barrier, but rest-assured our diapers are expertly engineered (by our founder and MIT-trained engineer!) to provide high coverage in the back and protect against blowouts! All Kudos diapers also feature our patent-pending DoubleDry absorbency tech, with 2x the absorbency layers compared to traditional diapers.

Q: Is the cotton sprayed with glyphosate or is it third party tested? Most conventional cotton is sprayed that is grown in the US

submitted by Mommying - 9 months ago
  • A: Hi there! Our cotton, TruCotton, is 100% natural and cleaned using a unique dry process with no water, chemicals, or heat involved. It’s third-party certified to the strict OEKO-TEX Standard 100 standards, ensuring it’s free from harmful substances like glyphosates. Thanks for asking!

Q: Just bought my first box of kudos diapers, and noticed that there are little black specs inside of the diaper where it touches the skin not really sure if that is normal with it being roll cotton or if it has something wrong with them

submitted by Kelsye - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi Kelsye! That’s just our cotton showing off how natural it is. Most cotton has these dark particles but it is typically bleached so you can’t see those specs. It’s perfectly safe for babies – in fact when you don’t see the little black specs on products that are made from cotton, that means it has undergone harsher processing.

The recent changes to these diapers have left many guests disappointed, as they report a decline in quality, fit, and absorbency compared to the previous design. While some guests appreciate the clean ingredients and softness, the new version has been criticized for its chemical smell, smaller size, and frequent leaks. Guests are seeking a return to the original design that provided better performance and comfort for their babies.

    Worst shipping I've seen

This is easily the worst packing for shipping I have ever seen. Several items were thrown into one huge box without any packing material at all. I wouldn't be writing such a negative review but this is repeated behavior from Target. This is not the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, or even 6th time I've had a problem with Target's lazy shipping. I worked retail for a half dozen years and packed thousands of items for in store pickup or shipping across the country and I would be personally embarrassed and likely fired for this zero effort.

    New Version Sucks

Bring the original version back!! Although i appreciate the clean materials, the new version of this diaper sucks!! Never experienced a leak until the new version of this diaper. If quality of diaper is going to lower, than so should the price…

    They contain titanium dioxide!

These are made with TITANIUM DIOXIDE! Google it and you’ll thank me later. Do not buy these. There is NO need for titanium dioxide in baby diapers. Shame on you Kudos, shame on you.

Not all skin-touching components are made out of cotton!

We use cloth diapers (100% organic cotton) at home for many reasons including sensitive skin issues. We were looking for a disposable option for longer trips away from home (3 days or longer) and were excited to try Kudos diapers. Unfortunately, our baby developed a bad rash where her thighs rubbed against the leg ruffles. Come to find out those components are not made of cotton... We wish that Kudos made ALL diaper components that come into contact with the skin out of 100% organic cotton.

Was recommended to try these diapers with my third baby who was born in November 2025. I was sold the diapers were fantastic and I loved the idea of using all cotton. Super high-quality and I liked them a lot more than Coterie. (Why do the Coterie not have good Velcro?) but something happened in my last shipment of three containers and my baby started having blowouts almost every single day wearing the diapers. The quality seems to have gone downhill significantly. We will be switching to pampers’s AMORE hopefully they bring back the original!!

Yeah they changed the fit and design of these diapers recently and it’s not what it used to be unfortunately. We used to love the fit and now they look more like another diaper competitor who I won’t mention but they don’t perform as well

    Changed Designed

I LOVED this brand. My baby had a severe diaper rash as a newborn. And we wanted to use cotton diapers to help with the rash. And I remembered Kudos from Shark Tank. So I did some research to see if I could buy Kudos at Target before ordering online. Kudos' original diaper shape design was 5 stars. NO LEAKS! My baby's rash cleared after 3 months, and knowing we were using 100% cotton set us at ease. I used this diaper for 13 months. But since they changed the design, I had to go up a size after going up to the next size with the original design. It's frustrating b/c the size 4 of the new design just fits but causes the most leaks, and the size 5 is just big enough that it doesn't fit well. And we get overnight leaks - even when we put on a fresh diaper just an hour before bedtime. The cotton material is not as durable as the original design. I notified Kodus, and they gave me a free box of diapers to last a month after I let them know how disappointed I am. Absorbency = poor (overnight) Comfort = moderate Fit = not true to sizing Ease to use = tabs are harder to open to fasten Leak protection = overnight poor

We used to love these diapers, recommended them to a friend as well who prefers TCF diapers. Then they changed something- not sure what but there was a period where it sold out then came back- less diapers in some boxes, smaller. We were so excited that they were back though and restocked. Ran into an issue where some of the flaps were defective- the company reimbursed and we’re really nice. But then suddenly my daughter’s having nonstop, painful diaper rashes. Prescription did not fix. We didn’t think it was the diapers since we’ve been using it exclusively, but she needed a bigger size temporarily so we went to the one we had on hand (Millie), and it went away. Started to use kudos again, and her rash came back immediately. Still in denial, tried twice more, came back both times and stopped when we switched. My friend also said her daughter got a bad diaper rash from it as well. A shame :(

    Always leaking!!!

Love the idea and these were the only diapers I was intending to use due to their 100% cotton lining and being TCF, but these are sadly horrible. My baby leaks through these all the time!!!! I’ve tried 2 different sizes and nothing fixes the bad design. Really hope they change their design, in the meantime I’ll be switching to other TCF brands.

Best I've tried for sensitive skin!

Best diapers out there. My 4 month old would get redness & irritation from every other diaper we tried. Switched to kudos and no more skin issues. They’re also the only diaper that kept her dry all night, contained her poops. They do seem to run small so I sized up and they’re perfect.

    The new version causes rash

The latest order of these caused very bad diaper rash on my newborn. The diapers are now smaller in size and have a chemical smell to them. The rash went away as soon as we switched to a different brand. I wouldn't recommend this diaper after the new formulation.

    New design is disappointing

Loved the old design, helped so much with blowouts. Got a new box because we ran out and noticed they were different, looked more like a coterie diaper (which we didn’t like) & the first day we had 4 blowouts. Insane decline in quality. Very disappointed with this new design. I miss the old kudos. Kudos if you’re reading this, please bring them back
