Super garlicky smell while cooking...overwhelming. Garlic also overwhelmed any other flavor. The portion was ridiculously small. The picture on the package was overflowing, the actual product was a half full bowl. Fortunately I found a 2 for the price of one sale, so throwing them away wasn't as painful.

Purchased frozen 4 days ago, cooked and attempted to eat today. ⏺ First, the look of it in this ragged-edged cardboard bowl, with a toilet paper tube color had a visual impact for me of an uneven, coarse, unfinished, and unclean container resulting in an overall, completely nasty and extremely unappetizing looking dish. Eating from brown cardboard just was not a pleasant experience either visually, tactilely or psychologically. I didn’t know how many cardboard fibers were coming loose from the heat and fluid and scraping that I was ingesting. ⏺ The chicken or what is billed as chicken was simply lumps of something chewy which did not resemble fried chicken in flavor. ⏺ Don’t know if it was the parsley (which I like) or the gravy but the taste was so off for me that when combined with the less-than-clean or coarse brown look of the container and the lumps of something chewy that was to be chicken, I will not purchase again. Furthermore, I do not understand WHY YOU WOULD ADD close to 100 ingredients to produce what you are labeling homestyle meal. My mashed potatoes and fried chicken made at home with less than 7 ingredients are 100% different from this product. There was no savory to it and it was not a good buy or experience. Please feel free to contact me should you be inclined to be honest about a bad item and declare you will refund the monies I expended to get this product. Unless you are willing to refund my purchase price and the gas it cost to drive to the store to purchase it and then drive back home, there is no need for you to ask me to give you another chance. ‘Ain’t happenin’. I usually like Marie Callendar products but the Fried Chicken Mashed Potato Bowl was a huge disappointment Won’t buy that again !

I had to throw this and the second one I purchased away. It says NOTHING about some nasty tasting and smelling green sauce in the description, that I can't get out of my mouth!! Your products have gone way way downhill! I purchased a coconut cream pie at Christmas and it had barely any coconut cream filling and the crust was nasty. You've completely lost your pride of product and care for customer satisfaction! I feel ripped off!!

Too much garlic and very salty. I would not have expected a beef product in a chicken item. Won't buy again because of this.

Just a bowl of mush. Awful. Tasteless.

I over zapped mine so, my fault. The portion size could be bigger. There's not much to it - but for the price, I could not expect much. The "flavor" comes from all of the salt. One serving contains more than 50% salt. All in all, very rarely would I purchase this. The only reason I did this time was because it was on sale, but it wasn't horrible.

Was expecting a more appropriate portion to fit the big bowl. Plus, there was only a tablespoon amount of mash.

Worst Marie Callender meal I’ve ever tasted. I couldn’t even finish it. Not sure what’s wrong with the chicken but it has the texture and look of bread. Like a piece of bread with holes in it. The taste was horrible and I usually either love or like Marie Callender meals. After eating a few bites of chicken I was worried I would get sick. That chicken can’t be real. If you want a good chicken Marie Callender meal buy the Cheesy Bacon Chicken meal.
