Women's Maxi Open Back Sundress - A New Day™

While I do love this dress, not sure if I want to exchange for a different size or not. I bought a medium, and I would consider buying an XS or S in this. The chest area is VERY big, which I don’t mind not filling out, but it’s very baggy and loose. The armpit area was very loose as well. I love the fish pattern and it was very comfortable, but I’ll have to see how the other sizes look.

The fish and back of dress are precious, but the dress is AWFUL! Nothing flattering about it.

I loved this pattern so much, and it is beautiful, but I read all of the reviews and still chanced it. I sized down two sizes, and although the size I got actually did fit, the fit is just super weird and not flattering at all. I wish this would have been made to flatter, it would have been a hit!

Beautiful embroidery. The open back is so cute and feminine. Has a liner so it is not see through. It runs big IMO so sizes down to an XS

I honestly loved the look of this dress and the material, I got the white with green and loved the embroidery. I'm usually a small and I got the small and xs and the xs had a better fit around the armpit area. I did crossed it the back with ties and then brought it to the front and tied a bow in the front and it was the perfect fit to wear to church for Mother's Day weekend. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews on this dress. I'm also 5 foot tall and the length was great.

I gotta say I love the styling and print of this dress but it was a return for me. I am a little bit on the heavier side of a large and have a longer torso. The waist on this dress hit me well above center. On me, it looked like some sort of odd attempt at an empire waist. it was not flattering at all if anything it made me look chunkier than usual.

36 dd and usually a medium, this was very big in the chest and the straps there's no adjusting they where to big, tied it in the front and it was still baggy. The bottom looked horrible on my body. The print is beautiful, quality Is great

Love the style and quality, but the sizing is way off. It runs at least one size bigger if not two. It also was a lot of fabric and a little heavy but I think it also just felt like better quality. The print is actually embroidery which was a nice touch.

Adorable fish pattern, horrible sizing and fit. Runs large and not proportional. Usual size S-M in Target dresses. Purchased M and it fits like L or larger, too practically falling off, elastic waist at hips.

Saw this in-store. Scanned the barcode to see the fit, and did she that it fit very baggy/loose on the model on top. So I knew what to expect. I do understand others concerns to size down. Decided to stay my true size Large. I didn't want a tight fit and was looking for something loose. I LOVE the length, the print and the material. All 5 stars. The fit is a 2 out of 5. Got it on sale at a price I could not not buy. Went to a tailor to get some pants hemmed, brought this along and the suggested easy tweaks I can do at home. Roll the straps over the shoulder to give a more halter top look and pin/tie them with bows. Another option was folding the center fabric over each other and adding 3 to 4 buttons. The cut won't be as deep, but this has been my preferred option. I understand not everyone wants to make alterations and do want a ready to wear fabric, however, for the print, material, and price, spending an extra $4-$6 isn't going to bug me too much. While I like it, I won't be recommending it.

I love this dress. The fish print is adorable. The reviews are right though. It does run really big! I'm normally a medium and I purchased an xs. For reference, I'm 5'9, 145 lbs.

Reading all the reviews saying fit is terrible & I have to completely disagree. If you tie it correctly, pull it around the front first & then loop back & tie it in the back tightly, it cinches in your waist & is flattering.

I wanted to keep this dress so badly but it was not meant to be. I fell in love with it at the store and took it home without trying it on, I was desperate to make it work regardless because I love this design and the fabric so much. However the fit is so off, and I usually love halter dresses.

Like many other reviewers, I saw this dress in store and thought it looked super cute on the hanger. I also loved the fabric. I grabbed my usual size and one size down to try on. Both were absolutely massive. I am plus size and wear a 40 DDD bra and I was swimming in the XL. I couldn’t imagine the dress being flattering even if I continued to size down. I’m not sure what happened here, but it seems like a quality control error somewhere which is a shame because it is a waste of a fantastic fabric.

Super unflattering. The print is absolutely adorable, but the fit, style and design of the dress is awful, especially if you’re larger chested. :/

At the front entrance ,the dress is hanging, all sizes available, because NOONE, and i mean No possible body type can actually feel and look good in this otherwise pretty looking ,totally wrong cut dress. Such breezy summery Motif , 100% cotton, affordable price and an extreme design disaster.

Cute idea but bad execution. Straps at arm that go in the back are too tight and the chest made me look like I needed an F cup to fill it so it wouldn't look saggy. Really odd looking. Shame, because the fabric is so cute.

I saw this dress in store & actually passed on it at first. I ended up coming back for a second trip days later to purchase it for Mother’s Day brunch — was very shocked at the sizing! I bought an XS and I agree with the other reviewers, it fits more like a L. It’s intended to tie in the back, but tying a bow in the front is much more flattering & cinches the waist. Not the greatest piece I’ve purchased from Target, but I’ve made do. Thankfully it was on sale!

So bad. I don’t even know what happened here. Don’t recommend at all
