To store overnight, place the food tray inside the outer box and put it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to travel. When it’s time to go, add the frozen ice pack to the outer box, nesting it below the food tray. We have had two of these lunchboxes for over two years now. We liked them but both got mold on the silicone over time. We were very careful with the way we cleaned them. Unfortunately that’s a deal breaker for me.

This Bentgo lunchbox is hands down the best we’ve used – it’s our go-to every day. There’s plenty of room for everything my older kid needs for lunch, and it’s super easy to pack and clean. We have this style and another style that lays completely flat when opened. The Bentgo Pop lunch boxes have warped, and are extremely difficult to close. Reading other reviews, I guess the shells weren’t dishwasher safe. I wouldn’t have purchased a kid’s lunchbox if I knew it couldn’t go in the dishwasher. It takes my entire body weight to close these things now. I can’t use them for wet foods, because they won’t get reclosed properly at school, and they come home a mess. An older version we have, where the lid lays flat when you open it, is still holding up beautifully.

Ive been using Bentgo for at least 5 years now for all 3 of my kids. Pretty disappointed in this one though. I would have rated this much higher, but it does NOT fit into a standard size kids lunchbox. My son’s lunch box is actually a little larger and you can’t even squeeze it in. Pretty much a Requirement for a good lunch container in my opinion. Pretty disappointed in this purchase

The lunchboxes are fine, but they did not fit in the lunch bag I chose (even though the boxes are slightly smaller according to domensions). It’d be very helpful if it was more explicitly stated what lunch boxes fit in which lunch bags.

Great box but lid hinge cracks

I got this lunchbox at the beginning of this school year. The lunch box was great at first. the compartments are great, the lid seals, and the large compartment has a neat optional divider. However, now less than a year later, the hinge on the lid is cracked and the box is useless. If the hinge were tougher or if the box/ lid opened all the way flat so there would be less pressure to break, then this would be the perfect lunchbox.

Hi, I'm from El Salvador. Last year I bought another model of Bentgo lunchbox for my kids and I was very happy with them. So this year I decided to buy three of this specific model. I'm very disappointed with this model because when I put fruit and something else in the lunchbox, the liquids from the fruit spill all over the inside of the lunchbox... I usually put fruit (like watermelon, pineapple, grapes, mango, etc.), cookies or sandwiches in their lunchboxes, but the cookies and sandwiches arrive totally wet!

These open and close so easily! A definite improvement on our older ones. The two options for the removable divider are nice to have depending on what lunch I’m packing the kids. I’ve washed them daily for several weeks now and everything cleans up nice and fits together again easily. Only complaint would be that they are harder to open inside the soft lunch bags the kids take- the kids say they aren’t allowed to take them out to eat because there isn’t enough room at the table.

I bought this a couple of months ago and I love it but the only issue is that the divider is easy to loose or brake. My daughter said it fell off and she didn’t even notice when this happened. I’m sad because I loved the divider because I could put more stuff in it. Also, when you open it the trade will lift up with the upper part so you have to put it down. I would have given a 5 stars but because of this it will get a 4.
