Sadly did not meet the expectations I had going into it. My fault I know, but it fell flat regardless. I feel it had so much potential! If certain scenes were longer, If we were shown more into certain things, especially towards the end. It’s like it fast forwarded through the good stuff, and missed out on good drama (like his fathers reaction to things and the aftermath I feel could’ve been more, but instead it was just HEA and that’s it.) Again, may be my fault since my expectations were high but I definitely recommend to read it anyways, just don’t expect Lights Out, which is superior in all ways and I love that book so much, 6 stars on that one for sure! Also don’t need political views in my mafia thrillers. Just need that heart stop, thrillseeking. Keep me in the couch feeling.

Book looks amazing besides the fact that the edge of the book is a little dented/crinkled from the packaging (I just prefer my books looking perfect lol) Wish it would’ve been packaged a bit better around the book instead of just put in the plastic to ship out. Love the cover though and the picture inside!!

4.5 stars Very different from Lights Out, but just as compelling in its own way. The connection between the main characters was exactly what it needed to be—lowkey but powerful. She needed something deep, and he stepped up without even realizing it at first. Once he did, he didn’t hesitate. There were a few pacing issues and small plot holes, but they didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the story. Emotional, steady, and satisfying. I loved it

Book came fast as per usual but I got one of the misprinted covers that's orange instead of red; it's not particularly Targets fault but wanted people aware! Included one of the target sticker against the cover for color comparison. I did NOT have the issue of the sticker ruining the cover others have mentioned though!

This book was a 6 star read! ❤️🔥🌶️🌶️ however, target ruined my copy by having the sticker on it cause once I took it off I noticed air bubbles in the cover of the book. So it’s separated in n the exact shape of the sticker. I need to see if there is a way to fix it.
