So good
I tried it yesterday and I was surprised how good it tasted. I’m about to go back to the store and get all the flavors available.

Way Too Sweet: Tastes like a liquified bag of candy + an extra cup of sweetener added.
Have you ever heard grandparents or aunts/uncles talk about "sugaring" up the grandkids, or nieces/nephews, and sending 'em home? The "Munchies" flavored Alani Protein Shake would be the perfect buy for anyone looking to sugar up their grandkids before sending 'em home for the parents to deal with. Saw this on the shelf at a local Target and decided to buy to drink before hitting the gym tonight. It is way, way, way too sweet. It tastes like a liquified bag of candy with an extra cup of sweetener added to really sugar it up. I guess it had 30g of protein, but as noted in the attached pic of the "Nutrition Facts" label, it also has 2g of (entirely unnecessary) Added Sugars. Not only are there many alternative protein/fitness beverage options available with the benefit of no added sugar on the market (including at Target), the added sugars contradict any health benefits of Alani's "Munchies" Protein Shake, particularly before hitting the gym for the day.

Is it me or did the formula change? Really dont know
I used to buy this flavor bottle about 2-3 years ago, from a nutrition store, and I remember liking it more than I did now. I don’t know if they reformulated it, or I just have different taste but it used to be my favorite ready to drink protein available. Now I kinda had to force myself to finish it.

Great lactose free protein shake
I’m honestly surprised by the low rating because this is one of my favorite lactose-free protein shakes (right next to Fairlife). I’m lactose intolerant, so my options are limited, and this is one of the few I can actually enjoy. It tastes really good, especially this flavor. Lactose-free shakes do have a slightly more watered-down taste and thinner consistency compared to regular ones, but I actually prefer that. Once you’re used to it, it’s really good! Also less expensive than other options.
