This is a cute playgym from first glance, but it has some features that you may want that are available in other playgyms. (1) It does not fold up to be put away, this was something very important to us. (2) the toys this comes with are not very engaging. (3) the mirror is not good, it’s very warped and is so easily scratched. Overall it wasn’t the best quality choice and we ended up buying an infantino one that we liked much better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this play gym! I’ve had a few different ones throughout the years and this one stands out with its aesthetic design. Fairly easy to put together and fold up small when you need to put it away. Since the top is screwed into place it does have to stay up for you to use it. It comes with lots of different parts that grow with your child. I love the little mirror and the fact that you can put cards in for your child to look at. It also come with cards to guide your through each toy and age range. You can use it for tummy time, overhead play or seated play. I would say it’s worth every penny!

The colors are neutral with primary color accents, making it perfect for any boy or girl. It’s lightweight and easy to transport here and there. My little one absolutely loves looking at herself In the mirror. It’s easy to assemble and just take a a minute or two. The mat is soft and perfect for tummy time and to practice rolling over. It provides hours of fun or any little one.

We had a different brand for our first baby and unfortunately she would kick the arches down and although they were soft, they would fall on her. With this Skip Hop play gym, this issue won’t happen since the arches are wood and held together with screws. This took about 10 minutes to put together with easy to understand instructions. It also comes with a mirror and cards that explain how each part helps with development including the appropriate age ranges.

My baby did enjoy laying on it and looking at the dangling toys. For this item though, I think it’s best used as a playtime / tummy time mat and you’ll have to bring more toys or things onto it to engage your baby, as there aren’t as many features built into the sides of the mat. It comes with a soft portable stand that has a mirror on one side (the mirror is kind of warped/not a clear reflection) and a card slot on the other for images to look at. It comes with some different cards to swap out. I do wish the colors were brighter and that the color scheme wasn’t so muted. Assembly was simple and easy. You’ll want to play with this on soft carpet or a rug, as it’s not padded (nor is the more expensive option).

Was easy to assemble and instructions were easy to follow. It includes a variety of sensory toys that make different noises that my little one absolutely loves playing with. The mat is soft and the wooden frame is very durable. If you are looking for a simple play gym that encourages natural exploration for your little one, I would definitely recommend this one!

He’s now a newborn but it still likes to pull at the dangling toys and it keeps him busy. I like that the mat attaches to the cross beams. And the wood is such a classy touch. It looks great in my house without being too colorful.

While it does feel like good quality, I feel like it could use some additional toys/sensory things. It has a few ribbons and comes with a mirror but that’s it. I could see myself using this with a newborn though in the future for tummy time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] How cute is this play mat! It's very padded so I don't have to worry about baby smashing their head. I found the instructions some what confusing but after we slowed down it was easy to assemble. The plastic in the mirror was pretty sticky so make sure you remove all the pieces. I like the black and white plush. It is double sided with color then b+w on the opposite side. This is good for baby's development.

The mat is very good size, not too small but since it’s not thick enough to put on straight hard floor, i’d recommend to use it on top of a foam mat to be safer for babies. Easy to assemble, took my husband 5-7 mins, but def need the instruction. I took one star off because I’d like more dangles with different materials for them to explore. For that price, some other mats even come with piano. It’s still a good quality product overall. I’m excited for my coming baby girl to use it

It didn’t take long to put together and our baby really enjoys looking at the high contrast hanging toys and especially the mirror. It’s a great mat for him to practice us rolling as well with it having a bigger width. It’s a sturdy playmat without any safety worries. Definitely worth getting!

I will say putting together the arches was ever so slightly more complicated than I would have hoped, but that doesn’t detract from the product since once the baby is using it, they love it. All of the accessories that come with the mat are perfect for a small baby - simple yet attention grabbing. I also really like the size of this play gym. It’s not too large that it takes up a ton of floor space but it’s still large enough for my baby to roll around.

The hanging toys come with a nice variation and I like that they’re removable. They actually work with our pack n play bassinet and the play mat we use in another room- it’s great to be able to rotate all the toys between spots. The materials feel durable and comfortable, especially the plush area. The mat is nice and big so my baby won’t outgrow it for a long time! The cushiony mirror/card holder is convenient and doubles as a pillow for tummy time. All around I am so happy with this play mat!

It’s light weight enough to pick up and move to a different room. I can feel comfortable in knowing it won’t over stimulate him.
