It has a simple ingredient list of just agave and matcha powder (the product description here may need to be updated because this does not contain vanilla). It has a nice thickness consistent with agave syrup. The only reason that I am taking off one star is because of the colorant effect when used as a mix-in. The instructions on this product say 1 tsp of syrup is a replacement for 1/4 tsp of matcha powder. I did not expect this to color like artificial food coloring but I do have actual matcha powder and tried mixing in 1/4 tsp of matcha powder with 8 oz of water and separately tried mixing 1 tsp of this syrup with 8 oz of water. While they both produced green color the matcha powder that I have is a more vivid green. The syrup produced a more earthy green, think more along the culinary matcha spectrum of color versus ceremonial matcha color. I think this syrup is convenient for what it is and I would not hesitate using it for quick addition to personal dishes or a topping (undiluted it is a dark green). For larger preparations or where more vivid natural coloring is required I think matcha powder would be more practical as a mix-in.
