Lands' End Essential Down Comforter

This has shrunken 10” on the width and 6” on the length

I have slept with a Landsend comforter for decades and when I had to replace mine, I bought the king size comforter. The positives are: it does keep us warm, the negatives: It is much smaller than the dimensions state, not even covering the entire mattress (therefore impossible to make the bed and not have the sheets showing), and has a plastic feel and rustles when you move. I am so disappointed with this purchase and am now having to look for another comforter after using this for a month.

The wuilted squares are too big. There is too much room for the down to move to one side or square of the corner. I am returning.

I bought this about a month ago and am a little disappointed in the quality. It’s pretty flat. I was really expecting a big and fluffy duvet insert but this one is very thin.

My husband and I are both very happy with the Down comforter that we recently bought.

I bought this a year ago, and all of the filling has migrated to the exterior boxes with little to no fill in the center boxes. I am super bummed by this development - I was hoping that I had finally found a duvet insert that would last :(

I leave my window open, heater off with anything above zero. This blanket keeps me perfectly warm. Great quality, my 1st one has lasted me 10 years, I still use for my guest bed. I would still be using but I now have a king bed.

I bought two down comforters for our cabin in Wisconsin. It kept us warm on the cold nights. I got king sized for queen beds so we don’t fight for extra coverage.

Well constructed lightweight real down comforter at a great price if you hit the sale price at the right time. Very cozy. Perfect for the South. However, it only covers 4 inches of the sides of our king size mattress. I wish it was longer on the sides. I hate seeing the fitted sheet on my mattress. I have a 14 inch mattress for reference. Please make the king size ones longer on the sides.

I thought this would fluff up with time but it’s very flat. Lots of options out there, this is definitely not the best. Poor quality.

I had been shopping for a down comforter for about a year. I finally broke down and bought this one I could not be happier I absolutely love it!

I can't sleep with heavy blankets on my feet, so this is the perfect solution. Soft, light weight, and warm.

Good quality down comforter, reasonable price. Lightweight but warm enough for us. I ordered the Elite comforter first but it was too warm. Land's End made it easy to return and reorder this one.

So far this Essential Down Comforter is perfect for our mild climate here in the Pacific Northwest where chilly autumn night time temperatures are in the 40s. I purchased the full/queen size not entirely sure of the measurements but did see them mentioned in the comments. The package I received states the comforter is 88"W x 96"L which we found to be true to size. Another concern I had was whether the full/queen sized Flannel Solid Duvet Cover would fit the comforter. I am happy to report that after washing the duvet cover in warm water it fits perfectly over the down comforter. The cover arrived without any measurements noted and recommended a cold water wash. Before washing we put the comforter into the cover and estimated that a warm water wash is what was needed as the cover was several inches larger than the cover and it worked! Sleeping peacefully and will probably add a wool blanket over it when temps drop in the winter.

I’ve had this comforter for 6 months now and am extremely happy with it. It wasn’t too hot for summer or too thin for cooler weather. Easy to wash as well. As far as feathers being evenly distributed I didn’t find any issues and a quick run in the dryer fluffs it out perfectly.

I held this up the light. Some squares have only a handful of fill, others are completely filled. Overall, the filling was stingy. I'm returning this item and add my cries to the chorus of complaints on this website about Land's End's quality.
