When the unit arrived I

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When the unit arrived I noticed exterior of box having damage, upon opening and inspecting the contents were not damaged due to shipping. What I did notice was the top of the TV stand showing damage due to improperly packaging. Hinges rubbing through the thin film of foam put deep scratches on the top lid of the unit. I contacted Plank And Beam of my issue and they gave me 3 options, I asked for a new unit, when the second unit arrived I again noticed exterior box damage which did not affect any parts of the contents. What I did notice on every part showed pre assembled indicators and stain blemishing on several pieces. The top of the TV stand was in worse shape than the first unit. At this point I was so disappointed and wanted a full refund. To get my full refund I need to show proof that I donated to Habitat For Humanity which I will do. I’m sorry to say I will not purchase your product in the future Your product is overpriced for the quality of your product

I just put together my new TV console, and overall I’m really happy with it. It was surprisingly easy to assemble, and once it was set up, it looked clean, modern, and really nice in my space. The only downside is that it’s much smaller than I expected—about half the size I had envisioned based on the photos and description. If you’re looking for something compact, it’s perfect, but if you want a larger presence under your TV, keep the size in mind. Other than that, it’s a great piece and looks beautiful!

I love the clean lines,

I love the clean lines, unfortunately, the hardware sent to hold the shelves was the wrong size or the holes, so that you could adjust the shelves, were poorly drilled. The shelves are unstable and uneven looking. What a shame.

Amazing Value-Remarkable Functional Design and Quality

For us, the value of this unit could not be better. The black finish doesn't depend on expensive grade of wood and expensive craftmenship to have a well designed look. Thoughtful construction and design made storage of all our hi fi components and moving around the shelves allowed remotes to work when positioned above or below the horizontal supports for the doors. As usual, the assembly instructions and adjustments sometimes found us in a trial and error excercise. Pictured is a 65"" TV Panasonic z65b with a room filling self contained sound system, it that doesn't need a sound bar. Speakers shown are for hi-fi.
