Pieces were clearly labeled and the instructions were easy to read. The assembly was tedious but that was expected. The mattress support could be improved by adding a middle support to help brace the slats, which we did and it improved the sturdiness tremendously. My only major complaint is the slide placement. I picked this particular model to try and save space in her room from having a slide come straight out. However, when she first used the slide her pinky toe got caught on the bed leg because there is a small gap between the slide and the leg. My husband put a wood insert between the slide and bed frame to eliminate the gap. This made the slider safer to use.

This is a review for the Costaway Twin over Twin Bunk with slide and staircase with storage compartments. I lead with this, because the reviews associated with with this product on the Target app are NOT reviews for this product. The bed is relatively easy to assemble, although not all the holes are drilled properly so you have to dig some of them out. The slide is VERY STEEP AND VERY FAST. It’s honestly pretty dangerous, definitely watch your kiddos closely. We’re definitely going to have to put a bean bag chair or something at the bottom to keep them from breaking their tailbones …or faces. There were some dings and dents and a little split wood in the frame upon unwrapping. Overall, it seems sturdy. It would be a pain in the you know what to return so we’re going to go with it for now, but really wish we’d gone with a different bed for our particular space and our particular kids.

The instructions were clear. All parts were labeled. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. The tool kit even came with a ratchet for the socket head screws. The parts assembled very smoothly. And the shipping was fast.

Not bad for the price. It was fairly easy to put together. I noticed some chipping on the wood/paint. One of the main screws was a little crooked and messed up one of the contact points, but I think that was user error. It comes with a handy ratchet and everything you need. It feels pretty sturdy, although I wouldn't jump up and down to test it because it doesn't feel that sturdy. Will it last for years? Probably not. But it works for now. The box is about 50 pounds, which is heavy for one person to carry up the stairs. All in all, not bad for the price.

If you are looking for a sturdy, well made bed frame, this is the place to go. Solid wood, beautifully packaged, no scratches or damage. All foam fillings were wrapped in plastic so no white flakes when unpacking. This is awesome! The instructions were so clear that even a child could put it together. The hardware was shrink wrapped and clearly labeled with additional instructions for each step. I just had a total knee replacement six weeks ago and put this together myself. We needed to lower the height of the mattress so it would show better, but the colors are really nice. Very sturdy. I have ordered other bed frames and bedding from this company before and will continue to do so.

Been using it for 7 years.
This bed frame is amazing considering the price. I had some issues with it when it first arrived but they were fixed quickly. This bed looks really nice and I had it for over 7 years... until the frame broke near the headboard. I also moved 3 times so took it apart and reassembled it which took a lot of damage to it. I bought the king size and put a mattress in it without the base. It is said to be sturdy enough unless you are heavy or plan on jumping around on it like crazy.

This thing was a pain to assemble and the mattress slides on the frame so if you lean on it it will slide the other way. Other than that it looks nice, just wish it wasn't so high up underneath. My fault for not checking before buying it though.

Sturdy frame, beautiful appearance
We wanted a sturdy, reasonably priced wooden bed frame and this one fit the bill. It took me an hour to assemble and the instructions were easy to follow. I did most of the work myself but had my daughter hold the vertical bars while I tightened the screws to keep the pieces aligned; I would definitely recommend this as pieces always fell off when I tried to do that part on my own. One thing to note is that 4 (or maybe 6) of the washers are a different color than the others; the bronze washers are used to secure the wooden legs to the wooden crossbars and the dark washers are used for the metal support bars. I don't know if this is important but I think there is a subtle difference or the color difference wouldn't make sense. This bed frame is for our guest room so no one has slept in it yet but it feels very sturdy and didn't make any noises when I tried it out. We have guests coming over next week so I'll update this review if there are any issues.

Love this bed. Assembly was easy and moderately quick, finished in about 2 hours. I recommend following the instructions. Just needed the husband's help to assemble the air piston and push the bed down. The instructions were well written and all the parts were in the box. Nothing broke, overall a great value for the money. I would also recommend buying some hand tools (just a screwdriver and a wrench as these little tools will definitely hurt your hands after a while. The husband has a set of ratchet wrenches with all different sizes and shapes that most furniture uses instead of screws) and will buy another set in the future for other rooms.

This bed frame is a steal for the price! I'm renovating a new apartment and this was by far the easiest piece of furniture to put together. I think the headboard is a little lower than it looks in the pictures, but honestly it's not a big deal. For what it is, this thing is awesome!

My daughter loves this bed!
It was very difficult to get her to fall asleep on her own before, but the built-in light made her feel much better. Now, the light allows her to fall asleep on her own with confidence and comfort. I highly recommend this bed to any parent who wants to encourage their child to sleep independently.
