It is attractive, but as the water is flowing through the shower head there is a disturbing whining noise.

Not in love with the shower head

I have another single flow Moen shower head different design that I like. This 5 different flow shower head is a total disappointment! The middle flow hits my body but the outer flow just drops straight down!! I have tried to like any of the flow designs on this head and just don't like any of them. I will replace this head soon. The other parts of this system works just fine. I chose this design -for sink faucet and shower/tub just for this shower head and am very sorry I did. Total disappointment.

Brand new out of the box 82537BRB Tub/Shower faucet with thie 1222 cartridge installed from the factory. Low water flow on the cold side. All new water lines installed and flushed prior to install. I shouldn't have to have replacement parts sent for a brand new faucet but clearly I rushed to buy this thinking Moen still made quality products. There is absolutely no excuse for a brand new faucet to have issues like this.

Control cartridge defective. Does not pass cold water. Will need replacement. Faucet control lever designed to protrude too far out from escutcheon plate for proper aesthetic. Had to insert self-made spacer. Very tweaky design; seems likely to fail before its time.

Typically, with a new installation damage to the cartridge can occur when sediment or debris breaks loose in the water lines during the new installation causing the blockage you experienced. We are pleased to see that you have contacted our Moen Plus Support Center and a replacement 1222 cartridge kit was ordered for you to resolve the issue. We appreciate your business and we are delighted that we were able to assist you. There is a gap between the handle and the escutcheon plate to ensure the screws on the plate do not interfere with the operation of the handle. Depending on the installation, it is acceptable for this gap to be between ½” to an inch.

I bought this recently and it looks great, only reason for 4 stars is shower head. Even after removing the restrictor water flow is low and spray field is narrow. Great quality and I think it will last for years.

Bought this fixture from big box store. It was an open package, which I never buy, but sales person assured me all parts were there and it was the fixture the wife really wanted. Starting the installation realized 3 small but key parts were missing. Moen customer service rep could not have been more accommodating. Needed parts were shipped expeditiously free of charge. As a former handyman I have had many occasions to deal with Moen support. It is always best in the industry.

Have had it about a month. Seems to work okay. Had to use on-the-phone help twice for insights and questions for the install. Also used chat once or twice prior to purchase. The wait times are a bit long for either option, but the help was solid. So, that was nice.

Just started using our new tub/shower. While I'm pleased with the overall looks of the faucet, I was surprised to learn how the handle with kind of a (cone shape) rotate as one unit in front of the escutcheon. I thought the straight part of the handle would be separate from the cone. Prior to installation, I didn't realize there would be also be a slight gap (1/4 inch or so) between the handle and the escutcheon. So far, it appears to function well.

Looks great in the shower, unless you're good with hot sweating pipes will need to have professionally installed. Seem to have less shower water pressure than with previous shower head. Different shower settings not easy to adjust.

Hello Gma jo and thank you for the feedback you posted on the Moen website for your Moen Hilliard Chrome Posi-Temp® Tub/Shower. Your review indicates after recently installing your new Moen tub/shower faucet, when you run water out of the tub spout you also have water coming out of the showerhead. If this is the case, it sounds like you are experiencing a condition we refer to as “stacking”. This condition can best be described, as the water leaving the tub spout is not able to get out of the spout fast enough that the water begins to back up behind the wall. The only place for the water to back up to is up the shower pipe and out the showerhead. The following is a list of the common reasons that “stacking” occurs: -The pipe running from the bottom of the valve body to the tub spout must be ½” copper or IPS pipe. No other type of piping should be used for this connection. -The pipe running from the bottom of the valve body to the tub spout should only have one elbow in it. -The valve body itself was installed upside down. -Try removing the tub spout from the pipe it is mounted on. After removing the spout, turn on the water to see if “stacking” still occurs. Please note that the water will shoot straight out of the pipe, you will need to take precautions to prevent it from splattering all over the place when it hits the back of the shower wall. -There must be a minimum of 46” between the handle and where the pipe for the showerhead comes through the wall. We bought this for our bathroom remodel. Very dissatisfied. After it was installed, we went to test it out and turned the Lever to cold and hot water came out and cold water came out when turned to hot.

You will want to make sure the off position of the handle is facing down at 6 o’clock. If it is, the cartridge may need to be turned 180 degrees.
