Not Real Leather
Although this couch was pretty to look at, that’s where the positive feedback ends. The couch, in the Target listing says it’s “oil-waxed leather” and I made sure to look in every area of description through the listing to see if there was any mentions of faux material of any kind or even the words, “leather like material” and there was nothing like that. Everything said it was true oil-waxed leather and which is by every standard real leather. However when we received the couch it was not in any way real leather. It was totally fake, super thin material that looked like leather but was definitely not leather. Very disappointed because we had also waited over 2 weeks for the couch to arrive in the first place. Of course this is not a Target item, it’s just being sold through Targets website from a third party so I don’t blame Target, however I do feel Target should do a better job of vetting their third party sellers because these third party sellers do represent Target to a degree. To finish I would say, if you don’t care about having real leather then you might really like this couch. It was also very well designed by having all parts to the couch zipped up inside of the bottom of it. To those who reviewed that they only received half of the couch, they probably didn’t unzip it to find the rest of it. It was also very easy to put together. But if you’re wanting genuine leather, do not buy.
