Healthy Choice Café Steamers Frozen Chicken Pesto Classico - 9.9oz

We have been buying this chicken pesto pasta for years and we loved it. It was a perfect little midnight snack that didn’t pack on the calories or the perfect meal if we didn’t want to cook for dinner. It was very tasty. That is no longer true this month we ordered two of these to keep on our freezer for the perfect occasion. We were disappointed to find that they have changed the chicken. The chicken used to be strips of real grilled chicken. Very tasty! Very satisfying! They have replaced the natural chicken with processed chicken cubes. They are basically the inside of a McDonald’s chicken nugget without the fried breading outside of it. The texture and flavor are horrible! We are incredibly disappointed! Our hope is this has something to do with the lack of chicken in America currently. We are hopeful that they will return to the real grilled chicken strips that we have grown to love over the years. Until then we are not buying this frozen dinner any longer.

I bought this because it sounded so good! I’m currently 9 months pregnant and also have a year old. I cooked it, ate it and shared it with my baby. That’s the only meal that we ate that was different than my husband, stepson and other daughter. We are very ill will diarrhea and stomach cramping. I’m certain this is what did it and I’m super upset about it. Be careful with these products.

Bought this last week and sorta forgot about it in my fridge, I took it to work and wow. talk about impressed for a smart meal its really good, you can enjoy the taste of the veggies with a small (And I do mean small) bite to the spice. It hit the spot at my mid shift hunger phase and even 5hrs later I'm not starving for more food.

I would give this five stars but the excessive use of plastic stops me.

I purchased this for a quick lite dinner option and it is amazing. I wish it was offered in a little larger size . What great taste!!

Pesto sauce has yummy spices. Fresh not freezer-burned ingredients

When I developed gastroparesis, this was the only thing of substance I could eat. (This was before I saw anything saying this was 'GLP-1' friendly.) Thankfully, it tasted good. I still eat them now, I always keep a couple in my freezer.

Didn't taste bad but it sure didn't taste like pesto

These used to be my favorite, but all of a sudden they've become mushy messes. Not sure if they've changed something, but hopefully they'll address this issue because these aren't nearly as good as they used to be.

Best one of these I’ve had. The chicken is meh, such a weird texture, but taste wise this is good and the veggies are actually good! If frozen meals could just figure out the chicken it’d be all i eat.

This is one of the healthy choice meals I like.low calorie,high protein,veggies.quick and easy when you don't feel like cooking.goid taste.😊

This was the worst Café Steamers I've ever eaten. The pesto was watery wit no taste. I had to trash it.

I've been eating this consistently for many, many years. It's been my absolute favorite. So color me shocked when the last two I've had tasted really, really bad. It had a weird, almost medicine-like flavor. I don't know if it's a bad batch or something changed, but it's gross. This is one of my only truly safe foods, as a neurodivergent person, I depend on having safe foods, the kinds that never change. Now I have to take this one out of my rotation, which makes me incredibly sad. I always have at least one package in my freezer.

Love the simplicity & freshness of this chicken pasta

I've tried most of the healthy choice frozen meals over the last 5 or so years and this is by far my favorite. For a pasta meal its great in calories and so filling.

It’s really good. I’m not a fan of the chicken due to its texture but the veggies and pasta are really good. It is not seasoned so you will have to season it yourself if you want to.

Flavor is ok, some of the quality of the vegetables need improvement. But they need to stop using soybean oil, it’s never been a healthy oil and is mostly from genetically modified plants. Won’t be buying any from this line again until they get rid of the harmful oils.

Overall great taste but PLEASE wash your veggies going forward. The sand was noticeable in my recent batch 50064081 2004 23:12 P115

Way too much pepper in the sauce. I don’t taste any basil at all. Not really up to the rest of the product line. Glad I bought it on sale. Won’t buy it again.
