I've quit making homemade pie crusts since trying Pillsbury's crusts. They taste the same as homemade and save a lot of work. Normally use them to bake pumpkin and apple pies.

I haven't used your rolled up box crust yet but I have used your pie crust that came in the foil pan . Great product and I want to thank you for using lard and not shortening ( SOY) as I am allergic to soy.
Crusts are too small

I enjoy the convenience of your pie crusts but they shrink so much when baking the empty crust that I will no longer be using your product. I have 9, 9.5 and 10 inch pie plates. After baking the bottom crust, the pie shell shrinks to barely a fingers width above the bottom of the pan. Then much of my filling ends up under the crust. I will be going back to making pie crust from scratch unless I hear that you are making a larger size option that will accommodate a 9-10 inch or a deep dish pan.

I followed the directions for cooking a Pillsberry pie crust by itself in order to make a lemon meringue pie but i’m not happy with it because it shrunk too much exposing the side of the pie plate. They should make the crust larger if they expect you to use it in a 9 inch pie plate.

Crusts too small.

The pie crusts are getting smaller and smaller. When cooked in the oven before filling they shrink so badly that the walls of the pie crust are smaller than 1/2 inch. The taste is good despite being ready made but the product is becoming useless as you can't make a normal sized pie out of them.

Very disappointed with the recent pie crusts. They seem to be way too small for a regular pie dish size. I took a photo, but can’t figure how to include it here. Not going to waste my money on your brand any longer.

I give this 3 stars because the taste and texture of these pie crusts is still very good. A few years back, I would have given them 5 stars, but the quality and quantity has dropped: 1) the pie crusts are not big enough to go all the way up a deep/normal glass pie pan. So, no nice crust lip on your pie. 2) the crusts seem to be thin - when you precook the crust, it bends down. 3) the crusts seem like they have some sort of liquid filler that dissipates while cooking, such that they shrink a great deal. So between the shrinking, the thinness, and the smaller size to start, when you precook, you end up with a small shrunken crust that is more like the shallow crusts that you buy in a tinfoil pan. Seriously, this has frustrated me enough that I’m on the edge of not buying them anymore.

Two days ago (01/21/25) I made a turkey pot pie. I did not have the time to make piecrusts, so I used Pillsbury Pie Crusts. I was concerned because I'd found so many negative reviews for the piecrusts on this site. But I had no other option. I used them. The "BEST if used by" date on the package was "14 MAR 2025." A few things: 1) Both crusts had an eleven-inch diameter. More than enough for a nine-inch pie. 2) There was absolutely no unusual smell. 3) I blind-baked the bottom crust. Shrinkage was minimal -- just what you'd expect from a properly-made piecrust. (All properly-made piecrusts MUST shrink somewhat as they lose water during baking.) 4) The crusts had a very good flavor. I recommend these piecrusts highly.

I make the best chicken pot pie ever with 1 single crust. All you need is: 1 rotisserie chicken, (chicken meat pulled), 1/2 bag mixed frozen veggies, 1 envelope powdered chicken gravy, cup of water, 1 pie crust. Unfold the circular pie crust and cut a circle for the bottom of the pie pan only (save the scrape for strips on top.) Cook bottom crust then pile the chicken on top of crust. After making the instant gravy, dump in the veggies and let sit a minute. Pour onto chicken and then put stripes of leftover crust across the top. Cook until crust is brown and filling hot (15-20 minutes on 400.) BEST Pot Pie EVER!

For all that I love to bake, I can't make a pie crust to save my life. Sigh. But at least this product never let's me down. Good flavor crust, not too thick or thin, and it turns out pretty every time. Use a combination of an egg and milk wash for bakery-like results!

Used these for years but stopped because it seemed they were lesser quality. Just thought I would try again and the stupid crust shrank to 2/3 (or less) when prebaked for quiche. So thin you can see through it. Dont waste your money.

Oh Pillsbury, why did you have to change your pie crust recipe? Even out of the box without rolling it thinner, it barely fits my pie plate. Now the crusts are sticking to my pie plate and I can barely make an edge. What did you do? Bring back the pie crust you had in the past. If you used lard before, bring it back. If you cut back, put more back in!
