Not Cotton and super thin!
I bought these because I needed new cotton socks. These socks are 53% polyester! I didn't want polyester socks, they are terrible for your feet! I wore one pair before I realized they were mostly polyester and I wondered why they were so thin after a few hours. By the end of the day, my feet were slipping around in my shoes because the socks were now paper thin.

Holey Socks
I purchased these socks several times, and noticed the material wears out fast. The last time I bought the socks, I paid attention to the purchase date. They started wearing out within 4-6 months (holes). It’s been 10 months and I have 4/10 pairs left (1 pair has visible holes that have started). Before you think it’s my crusty feet, I have been doing foot peels this past year and my feet are baby soft—the softest of my life! I’ve never had an issue with Hanes brand; have purchased for 30 years+. The past several years have been poor quality. I expect them to last longer, as historically they have!

Why are they so stretchy?
Second time buying these and the quality has changed massively they are super polyester and stretchy now compared to the batch i got last time, they felt alot less stretchy and more cotton. probably wont buy again.
