Book shelves well made and not too difficult to put together. BUT i did not realize i would need to put it together. I swear there were the words "one piece" in the drscription, which led me to believe it would fold out or something. I am happy with result.

Nice shelf for the price but major concerns about the smell
First the good: - The bookshelf was relatively easy to put together. Some of the later parts of construction were a bit tricky but nothing too bad. - Quality is good for the price. I don't expect it to last forever but I also didn't have to spend an arm and leg on it so I'm okay with that - Good amount of storage space. And now for the absolutely horrible: - The shelf stinks. Not as in the quality is bad, it absolutely reeks of some nasty chemical smell. I hoped it would disipate after a couple of days. It's now been a couple of weeks and I can still smell it in my son's room. It's to the point that I'm seriously considering removing it from my child's bedroom because I'm worried about what he's potentially breathing in. Seriously, it's bad. Without the smell I probably would have ranked it at least four stars. I really considered giving it two stars just based on the nasty smell. It's that bad.

Save the headache and pass on these
Starting off with assembly, the pre drilled holes were too small for the hardware. The hardware came incomplete or broken. The dowels were too big and arrived snapped. Made do with a few of my own tools and got the shelf assembled, however after assembling I realized it’s not as tall as described. I would take it back but it took all my life to put this together and i am not going to spend another lifetime taking it apart.

Ladder Shelf is very well made. Hubby put it together for me, it took maybe less than an hour. l am using my Shelf next to the kitchen door, which has limited space. l put a lot of houseplants on the shelves and use grow lights. Overall very satisifed with this shelf! It is exactly what I was looking for and perfect for my home office. Assembly took me a little while doing it myself (2 hours), and some of the screw holes needed to be carved out a little bit more for the screws to fit, but I enjoy putting things together.

The idea of this bookshelf is cute, but the quality is not what I would expect for the price. Cheap materials, mine already had scratches. Wobbly, some of the dowel rod holes didn’t line up, and there are gaps because of it. I’m disappointed.
