The table surfaces are actually particle board with a wood veneer. This would be fine except the fake wood veneer scratches VERY easily, revealing the white particle board underneath. We have had this table less than a year, and are already looking for a replacement because the table top already looks very shoddy.

Horrible to assemble. Screws do not fit easily into metal pipes with pre-drilled holes. Directions are not particularly helpful. I was not strong enough to assemble and had to enlist family to help. I’m pretty handy and can usually assemble furniture with no difficulty and I enjoy doing it but this piece was poorly finished and holes didn’t line up well.
