Great for DJ Practice
I use these with my Pioneer FLX-4 and they are perfect. Full and balanced sound and great nearfield imaging. You can't go wrong for 5-inch powered monitors of this quality at this price.

Still in the Learning Curve
Still trying to dial these speakers in tonally; they go through some changes from vinyl to speaker. I use them almost exclusively for digitizing old albums so I have an ever changing tonal input happening. I have to use a lot of different eq. settings. The speakers are handling all the changes so far. I would recommend them to a friend.

Sound great
Speakers sound great. Only thing I wish is ghetto they would automatically turn on and off with my pc.

Worth every cent
I was a "hifi" speaker product manager my entire career (45 years of hifi!) Now Retired. These compact self-powered two-ways are a STEAL. The frequency response is smooth. The bass is outstanding. It goes deep and is never boomy. I have them plugged into the headphone out of a TV, sitting on little stands. Highly recommended.

Bought for video editing
I do a lot of talking head videos and needed something to pair with my MacBook pro running Davinci Resolve. These speakers are amazing for that. The clarity on the high end is amazing. NOt a lot of bass but please don't think that they aren't perfectly balanced because they are. I've had much more expensive speakers but these are much better. Don't hesitate if you want for video editing.

Good value speakers
Nice speakers in a teenager?s room. The Bluetooth works well, I haven?t noticed a drop off in volume or sound quality. The build quality is on par with its price

Nice speakers, good value for the money, finicky Bluetooth
I bought these speakers to replace an older Bose computer speaker system that started to slowly die on me. Since I use these speakers on a desktop configuration, the idea of Bluetooth appealed to me to reduce the wire clutter. In fact I decided to move the speakers to the bookshelf behind me, rather than on my desk, to clean things up even more. This was an issue because the Bluetooth USB dongle I was using was not powerful enough to reliably connect to the speakers (about 8 feet). So I ended up getting an Intel Bluetooth card for my PC and this seemed to help a lot. Initially the speaker sound still "skipped" once in a while with the new Bluetooth card, but I haven't had any problems the past couple weeks. So who knows - but be warned that the Bluetooth on these speakers is a little finicky. Other than that the speakers are really nice. They look great with a high quality finish (on the web site they look quite carbon fiber-like, but IRL they look more dark gray to me).

Perfect for multipurpose gaming/streaming/audio workstation
Excellent sound and build quality for a budget speaker. Much louder and richer sound than I expected from a table-top speaker. Exceeded my expectations for the price.

Quality built soeakers
I purchased the speakers primarily to enhance the audio on a smart TV that perform excellently. The Bluetooth is great for my Android and I can say that the 5DT-BT's crank. They are definitely powerful.

Decent power and bass, good sound, great price
More than enough power for our small kitchen/dining space. Decent bass, definitely changes depending on position so move it around a little if you can if you're not happy with sound. Bluetooth was a little spotty connecting at first, but now connects without problem, and output is a little hotter with BT than it is plugging in to either of the included cables. Overall, just great little speakers especially at the price.

almost great speakers
Pros and cons (5.25" version): Pros: Good enough bass not to need a subwoofer; clear, decent mid and high range; great stereo imaging if you place them far enough apart and you sit in the optimal spot, surprisingly high volume output for a mere 50 watts rms. (they are louder than my 200 watt rms Logitec Z623 speakers!!!). Cons: 1) Because these are made out of plastic rather than wood they sound tinny compared to my other similarly powered audio systems that use wood cases (i.e., Philips MCD708, or my JBL bookshelf speakers). I wish Monoprice built a wooden version of this even if it cost more $ ). 2) The lack of a protective grill makes me VERY nervous every time my cats jump up on my refridgerator where I have these. I'd pay more for a grill protector. 3) The volume dial is all black with no numbers or easy to see indicator dot so its hard to always adjust it to my favorite volume. Please fix this in future versions. Overall assessment - good compromise for people without space for a dedicated amp and wooden speakers, but not quite good enough for audiophiles. However, if you hook this up to a pc with a good audio dsp plug in you might be able to get a bit more warmth out of these speakers since i noticed that fiddling around with my mp3 player's equalizer helped a little bit (but not enough). Also, kudos to Monoprice for allowing me to cancel my first order and re-order these since I originally bought a different model which wouldn't work for me. Great company and great customer service!
