Lucid Comfort Collection 12" Gel Memory Foam Mattress

I bought the Zinus 12 inch cooling gel mattress & received it about 2 weeks later. I had it unpacked & set in an empty room by 5pm the same day. I left it alone for the next three days to let it expand & air out. After 72 hours, the highest part was under 10 inches, lowest didn't make it past 8. There were several recommendations to get the foam to expand, so I gave them all a shot: Tried sleeping in it the next three nights, tried rolling around in it, spent some time walking across it, etc. The corners raised by about half an inch to one inch, and that's it. It's now day 7 & I'm convinced it's never going to expand to full size. So I paid for a 12 inch mattress, but essentially received only a 9 or 10 inch mattress at most. And because it never expanded fully, it's super firm... The foam is compressed more than it should be, so it's not comfortable. Returning it will be a hassle since the mattress has expanded enough that it can't be folded or vacuum sealed, & it definitely won't fit in a car. I'm most likely stuck with it. Maybe I just got a defective one, but this is the first, & definitely last, mattress I ever buy from Zinus. Colossal waste of money.

The bed feels nice but after 60 hours it has only gotten to 11 inches not 12 and still has a slight bend in the middle. Keeping it cause it’s more of a hassle to try and return a king size mattress.

I have not slept in it yet, but it feels wonderful. As soon as I put it on the frame it expanded to 12 inches.

Exactly as described, medium firm but also has that memory foam feeling. The box came all torn up but the mattress was fine so who cares lol

I had to downsize my bed from a queen to a twin xl. I am so glad I found this one. As someone who is plus sized it can be hard to find a good support mattress and this does it. It is firm but also super soft, no sinkage. It isn’t hard to get up from either(besides the fact I want to stay in bed all the time now). The bed inflated to the full length by 24 hours. It did have a small smell to it at first but that expected from a boxed mattress. It goes away after a day though

This mattress is very comfortable. I've had it for about a month now and have no complaints. It expanded fairly quickly, although I did wait 24 hours before sleeping on it just to be safe.

Very comfortable. It feels hard when you first lay down but it slowly starts to sink 30 seconds later and hugs your body nicely. Greatly helped my back and neck issues. Does not sleep hot. I’ve already recommended this to a friend.

We received this item and it was defective. It never expanded to full thickness in the center, even after two weeks of “settling time” and had a huge dip in the middle. It was completely unusable and we had to haul it back to the store to return.

I've been using hand-me-down mattresses for 25 years and finally decided to purchase my own. I had never slept on a gel or memory foam mattress before purchasing this mattress, and honestly - it was hard to get used to AT FIRST. At first, the mattress just felt too hard while simultaneously making me sink into it so I felt I couldn't move freely. However, after about two months, I now love it! I used to have neck pain every single day I woke up from my thinner, spring mattress and now my neck pain is completely gone. If you can make it through the break-in process (especially if you're used to a spring mattress) I highly recommend purchasing this one. I currently have it set up on a platform bed frame by Thuma and love the height. The mattress definitely comes in at 12 inches - sometimes I almost feel like it's even thicker than advertised.

Had this mattress for 4 months. Really like it. Helped my painful shoulders. Didn’t break the bank. Only after thought is that probably 10” would have worked. It measures 12” but still seems bigger than necessary. No off gassing apparent. 2 friends have bought the same only 10” after trying it at my house. Would buy again.

Grew to its true size within a few hours (although we still left it the recommended time) and no odor! Great quality mattress.

I read a few reviews and decided that I’d take a chance on this mattress and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I had been having random pains in my back on and off with my old mattress so I was amazed that after one night my back instantly felt better. I had no idea how much a mattress really had an effect on my body. I love this mattress so much. It’s the perfect mix of solid and comfortable. I can sleep on my side, stomach or back and feel amazing waking up with this mattress. So if you wanted an upgrade to your sleep and a positive change I’d say to go with this mattress. It took two days to get to full inflation but it was usable after only a few hours.

Great mattress! My son loves my temperpedic mattress, but I wasn't prepared to spend the money on another one yet, so we went with this. It is every bit as comfortable and so much more affordable!

such an awesome mattress. it comes shipped compact in a box and takes a good 24 hours to fully expand. its super comfortable and great quality. loving it!

Absolutely love this bed. I bought the plush medium and although the plush is limited, it is so comfortable. You sink but not too much. Just enough to feel lightly enveloped. Backaches-none and I got them every night on my old traditional bed. Fall asleep fast and get back to sleep quickly all of which was an issue on my old bed. Thank you Lucid.
