Q: It says that the finish of this wood is "unfinished". Does it have any polyeurethane or topcoat or could I stain it without any hassle?

A: There's nothing on it so you can stain it very easily. I stained mine and it looks great! I suggest staining it before you put it together so you don't miss any sides or corners

A: This is raw unfinished wood, it is not stain resistant. You can paint, stain, clear coat, or leave the item unfinished.

Wonderful coffee table. Measure it out first, a good smaller size coffee table. Assembly was super easy- despite missing directions. It seems sturdy, and I can’t wait to finish it. Great price!

I purchased the Hampton coffee table and end table and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! I couldn't find a table in this style with the finish that I wanted, so I loved the fact that I could paint/stain how I wanted. The tables are quality wood - HEAVY and large. I stained the shelves a dark walnut and painted the legs white. I read a few reviews with problems staining - there were some places where the stain didn't take as well, but because I wanted a weathered, farm wood look, I didn't have an issue with it. Assembly was a piece of cake. You can't go wrong buying these - worth every penny!

Was looking for a piece that wouldn't kill my wallet. Got it during a sale and couldn't be happier! Easy to assemble easy. I stained it, definitely use a wood conditioner before hand. It came out awesome!

I love this table so much I just ordered the matching end table. We stained the top with Espresso stain and the base white. It is very sturdy and solid.

Love this table. I searched forever and finally picked this one because it wasn't too expensive but more importantly came as unfinished wood. This allowed me to stain it to match my other furniture. This piece is surprisingly sturdy and good quality. It was also easy to put together.
