I tried it with nachos as is but just warmed and it was good. I also tried it in my pasta and my whole family enjoyed it. It’s not too thick and not too liquid. I think it’s perfectly in between.

I added some to pasta and it tasted like an amazing mac & cheese. It was nice to be able to control how much I added too. Also used it to dip pretzel bites in, which was so delicious as well. I actually prefer the taste of this cheese sauce better than other cheeses I’ve had before. This will definitely be something I get again and have around the house since it’s versatile and delicious.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I think the RAGU Double Cheddar Sauce is a great option for a quick dinner on a busy night, it wouldn’t be a go to product for my family. The texture was a bit thicker than I typically prefer, and maybe that had more to do with the type of pasta we used. If you like thicker nacho sauce or cheese dip then I think this product will be perfect for you. If you prefer a creamier sauce this product might be a good base to mix with milk or water instead of creating a sauce completely from scratch. Overall, it’s a good product and is perfect pantry staple to have on hand when you don’t have much time and hungry kids.

It tasted okay but seemed to be missing something. I wouldn’t purchase . The vibrant color made me think it was going to have lots of flavor .

I wish there were more recipes or even a recipe on the bottle! I winged it and made a cheesy kale bake with onions, farro, and breadcrumbs which turned out great!

Absolutely incredible taste on fries—stays super liquid-y even when you warm it in a sauce pan too! I like that you get a HUGE jar of it, so if you’re making food for lots of people you’re covered. I was originally going to use this for pasta, but I’m really glad I used this for cheese fries because honestly? That’s not something I would usually make from scratch. Cheese sauce for fries is meant to be ooey gooey and this IS even though it still has real cheese in it. I will be buying more of this!

It also has less iron, protein, and other nutrients however, I make up for the lack of protein by blending cottage cheese into the sauce before serving. As for taste, it's good. It's a similar profile to their Alfredo sauce and is pretty mild. It's reminiscent of Alfredo sauce mixed with nacho sauce. I'd say it would make an "elevated" nacho as it's not a taste of plastic cheese like you get that's thick, neon, and full of all the flavors of box. It has a natural texture.
