Not as good as it seemed.
The product is really pretty, and the variety of ways you can put it its grea. The only downside is the quality itself. I received the product in perfect packaging, but the product itselfnwas damaged with broken pieces. I received a replacement from both targetvand after that from alpine itself because of its warranty. The product quality feels cheap, the batteries dont last long and the lantern only lights up for about an hour. I dont know if its the charging system since ive replace the original battery with duracell rechargable batteries and still does not charge enough to light up all night. Seems to me that Alpine needs to improve its solar panels' rechargeable system and get better quality plastic.

Not packaged to survive shipping.
Unfortunately none of the items we ordered survived shipping. The vendor mails the lantern in a single case pack with no protection. 4 units were delivered and all had different plastic parts snap during shipping. 3 had the batteries come loose and shake around. Not worth the back and forth getting replacement items that were still broken.

Arrived Preopened and Broken
I ordered 2 lights to illuminate my front area. One came fine and worked well. The other one looked like some idiot thought a solar lamp needed a battery. Light bulb was cracked off from the holder. There was some no brand battery stuck inside the housing. Got a replacement which looked fine, but isn't lighting up. Don't waste your money on this.

Could have been a perfect solar light 3 in 1
Both times item arrived broken not fixable or missing pieces. The 2nd a replacement by target was in my opinion a used and returned item. Battery that supplied power was loose in light case, green tape that one pulls to release battery integrity in box , a missing screw. And plastic pieces that someone tried to fix?? Not targets fault but the original company supplying item . Came from a return dept in Ohio I believe. Three stars for concept though plastic. Wish it would have been a regular sale item online it would have been perfect. Target gave refund. I would have recommended thus if it was perfect

Ordered Two Neither Functioned
I was so excited to receive this product as we had done some recent landscaping and the lantern appeared versatile and attractive. Imagine my disappointment when the original and the replacement were both faulty. The first item arrived and had no physical defects. After trying different locations, adjusting the toggle switch, and reassembling the lantern, we determined a connection was bad. The light would turn on only briefly when opened but never when reassembled. Target sent a replacement and it was physically broken in two places. The plastic was broken and the "glue" was detached. Sadly, this product could not even be assembled as the parts were broken. I am so disappointed. I have the product two stars because it is attractive and I was able to speak to a live person at Alpine. She did offer to send me a replacement if Target wouldn't. I didn't take her up on the offer as Target, in theory, was refunding my purchase. Purchase at your own risk and prepare to be disappointed. I suppose my situation could be a fluke, but two faulty lanterns in a row is more pattern than odds.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t realize that this comes with all three mechanisms (hook, hanging, or stake) but I’m so glad it does! I’m using the hook set-up first, but it’s nice to know I can change it if I want to switch it up. Solar lights are definitely the best for outside because you never have to worry about running electricity!

Definitely a gorgeous, modern piece perfect for anything. We set it up in the backyard and it lights up a pretty decent amount of area with a soothing light. Totally recommend!

Beautiful Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really surprised with this light, to be honest. I thought it would be a smaller lawn light, but it's much larger than I expected, and it's versatile for how you can mount it. Included in the box is a stake for the ground, a garden hook (which we went with), or a wall mount for mounting on the wall or side of something. It's really great, because if we decide to move the light, now we have options on where we want to put it. The light itself is really brighter than I expected as well. The day I put it out, we had a lot of sunlight, and I checked the light at night, and it made it so much easier to see our pathway at night. This has really given me peace of mind because now that it's been getting darker earlier I really hate walking to our trashcans at night. Our porch light isn't bright enough, and I can't manage a flashlight with a big bag of trash, and opening a trashcan without fumbling something. One time I was throwing our trash away, and I got spooked by a raccoon in our backyard. Hopefully, this will scare off the critters, since it won't be as dark over there for them anymore. I also just really love the style of this garden lamp. It's simple but very sleek looking. It will probably go well in most gardens and doesn't distract from your home decor. You can barely see the solar panels at the top since they're embedded into the cover. I'm really happy with this product.

Met Expectations - Nothing More
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lantern adequately met my expectations - nothing more, nothing less. It is a cute addition to my sidewalk. Being solar powered, it didn't let off a ton of light but it was enough to get the job done. I think the materials could be less cheap looking/feeling but it is for outdoor, so that may not matter much. VERY easy installation.

But my husband was able to fix it for me and the light is very bright and works well now. I have it hanging on my wall on my shed outdoors and it lights a large portion of the area up.
