Jimmy Dean Frozen Maple Griddle Cake - 18.8oz

I saw this at my local Target so I gave it a try. From previous experience with Jimmy Dean frozen sandwiches, I found it best to thaw the frozen sandwich inside the fridge overnight before microwaving it the following morning. To prevent the top portion of the sandwich from slipping off as the cheese melts, I stick a toothpick in the middle to hold everything together. 1 minute 30 seconds later in my little red Hamilton beach microwave, I have a breakfast sandwich! For a hearty brunch, I prepared 2 with a side of thick-cut bacon, dark maple syrup, and fresh blackberries and strawberries.

It had no maple flavor nothing about it was good I had two bites and gave the rest to my dog

These sandwiches were my absolute favorite - why did you all change the way you made them? The slice of cheese that now sits on top of the sausage is way too much. It was so much better and a perfect cheese ratio when the cheese was in the egg not a slice sitting there. :( Please bring back the previous version. I recommended these to my whole office because they were that good now, not so much.

These used to be great, but now it seems like the sausage patty has gotten smaller and thinner and seems like there's less cheese on them then there used to be. This has driven me to buy them a whole lot less than I used to.

I've tried many of these types of sandwiches trying to replicate the famous one, including making my own. This Jimmy Dean version fits the bills. The pancakes are fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness, the sausage is juicy, and the eggs aren't rubbery. The Maple Griddle Cakes will definitely stay in my rotation.

These were my favorite breakfast sandwich. They had a better end result when the cheese was cubed and cooked into the egg. With the cheese on as a slice, there are 2 things I don't like. A portion of the cheese is lost during cooking to the wrapper and these sandwiches now have about 5-6 drops of moisture falling off of them. The quality was way better with the cheese in the egg.

These are really tasty if you cook them correctly. The egg and cheese taste good and the pancake has spots of maple flavor inside. I dislike sausage so I remove it and add precooked bacon that I cook again. Great to dip in some extra syrup or a little ketchup.

They are good, but I prefer the sausage types with less fat (because of how they look lol. I'm a baby when it comes to that stuff), so I wish they had a turkey or chicken sausage version.

At first I was really enjoying these until the second box had a lot of hard chunks in the sausage. Need to improve the sausage quality.

Why don't your online instructions duplicate the packaging instructions?

I have tried several of thse Jimmy Dean sandwiches/ bowls/roll ups and this is my favorite. Being handicapped, these are an easy way to get my egg every day. The pancake and sausage is a bonus. YUMMY

My godfather gave me a couple of these from a bulk box to try out. He reiterated multiple times they were pretty good. Personally, I've never been a fan of breakfast sandwiches, something about egg patties doesn't agree with me and takes away from the other tastes I prefer to enjoy. Needless to say, I honestly didn't expect much out of the ordinary and left them in my freezer for a couple weeks until a late night hankering prompted me to throw one in the microwave on a whim. After the first bite, time slowed down, I had to do a double-take, my eyes widened in surprise. I thought no way, this was surely a fluke. Nope, every bite thereafter was equally as amazing as the first, I couldn't believe it. I paced myself to savor it because it's too small for anything this delicious to rightfully be so limited in size. Before I even finished the sandwich, I was beyond tempted to heat up the second one immediately, which was truly a battle of willpower. My sense won out over my stomach, but it was a heartbreaking decision. My thoughts definitely wandered over to that second unassuming sandwich for a while after that... but I remained steadfast. I managed to wait a day, having just finished that second sandwich, and that brought me here to this review. The combination of flavors is kind of impeccable. The sweet and salty balance between the maple pancakes, which aren't overly sweet but just the right amount, and the sausage patty are an awesome pairing. And my usual nemesis, the egg layer, actually complemented it really well with its cheese core in the center that becomes nicely melted in the microwave. The overall textures lend themselves superbly to reheating as the pancakes become fluffy, the sausage pliable, the egg...egg, the cheese gooey, and everything is soft but remains distinct in their different ingredient identities. It's deceptively simple, but overall I'm still stunned at how well they strike that balance with each other to become so addictive. I knew I would have to tell people about these too because one of my first thoughts is how much my boyfriend who lives in a different country would adore these as well. I can't wait to have him try it as soon as possible. So, without further ado, I will obviously be keeping a lookout for these in the stores to purchase myself (lest I keep raiding my godfather's stash because these will harden me into a thieving criminal at this rate).

My husband who is picky will only eat thing he likes and will eat in a frozen breakfast sandwich. He's addicted. And with his losing it as he ages to quickly, he is very hard to get to eat anything. I think covid killed his tastebuds. I like them too!! I just ordered 8 boxes from Target, the last they had to sell! Thanks Target!

Griddle pancake is good egg is even good. The Sausage for being Jimmy Dean brand is Horrible and Chewy. Have Tried Microwave,Oven even stove top. For the Price there a bad purchase Wish it was better.
