Highly aromatic, curry leaves have a unique aroma, with a slightly hot, bitter taste. In South India the leaves are used liberally in soup dishes like Sambar, curries, vegetables, and fish dishes. In Gujurat, they are used to top off snack foods like Dhokla and are a main ingredient in green curry paste; and no matter if they are fresh or dried, they are used as a whole.

Don't buy unless you lack access to a local Indian grocery store

Fresh and dried curry leaves are a million times cheaper at your local Indian market. I only suggest buying this if you don't have access to this type of wonderful store in your area. The closest one to me is well over 100 miles away but I ration what I have bought from an Indian market until I can visit again. It is usually every six months or longer but it is well worth the wait. Even if I have to wait a year to afford to drive out of town again. If they lowered the price of this, more people would buy.
