We designed our solid wood Normandy Storage Bench to make a great first impression. This functional, stylish and durable bench allows you to make a statement while creating added storage and seating for your entryway or mudroom. "Form follows function" design rules apply here as the bench features a convenient flip up lid allowing for easy retrieval of articles from the dual storage compartment below.

Save your money
Holes are stripped and came broken and cracked. The return window closed before we put it together. Bought for $205. Junk.

The junkiest junk I've ever seen
i thought I'd be a grown-up and not get IKEA furniture. big mistake. This thing is garbage. the predrilled holes do not align, but I managed to put it together pretty quickly only to have it fall apart in less than a an hour. the lid came off of the bench upon opening! do not get.

Love this bench!
This bench is a very well made pice of furniture. My husband pushed off the task for long enough so I decided to put it together myself. Nice looking bench
I really like the bench. We put in the are entryway. The only problem is when were assembly it, When were putting in the hinges on my husband it cracked the wood and we had to glue it back on. It's in the back so you can't see the it. So just warning just be careful when putting on the hinges it's very close to the edge.

Beautiful and sturdy!
This is a beautiful bench! It's exactly what I was looking for. I also love that it opens to allow for storage! I don't have anything to store yet but am sure it'll come in handy as the years go by in my new home! Looks lovely in my entry way! Oh, and it was fairly easy for my husband to put together with a little help from me!

Nice sturdy bench
Great looking bench for my entry way. My only complaint is in the assembly. I would consider myself an expert in assembling pre fab furniture but this was ridiculous and the instructions were confusing. I would still recommend, just be aware.

Suits well in my living room; )

Very Dark
The design of this bench is exactly what I wanted, but when they say "Tobacco Brown," they really mean Brown/BLACK. I returned it once thinking it was a mistake, but when the new bench came (10 days later, even though they said it was only going to take 2 days), it was the same Brown/BLACK. The operator said there was a difference between their Brown/BLACK and Tobacco Brown, so I'm not sure if there is just an issue with their shipping department, or if they really consider brown exceptionally BLACK. Overall, if you're looking for a brown bench, this is not it and I'm returning it a second time.

Beautiful bench
Storage is nice - lid does not open complete 90 degrees but enough to be very useful. Came a much darker color than expected from the picture but very nice. Actually a nice deep, rich brown. Looked more mid tone on the screen. Easy to assemble as well.

Great piece of furniture!
this only took my husband 15-20 minutes to put together. I did have to come help when it was time to put the hinges on. This bench looks fantastic in our foyer area and is durable enough for when our 1 1/2 year old is climbing up and down on it :)
